Cask at the Fat Cat Tap, Norwich. It pours deep brown with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is earthy roast, coffee, earth, cocoa powder and charred wood. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, earthy roast, cocoa, malt loaf, coffee grounds and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A decent mild. Cask (Fat Cat, Norwich) (6+:4:6:3:12=3.1+)Leighton (21296) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2014
Lovely deep red, small brief head. Pleasant sweet burnt caramel aroma. Flattish smooth palate. Simple milky black tea taste, some burnt caramel, a little disappointing for a dark mild, but still not bad.
Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear russet-brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Pleasant aroma with lightly aged berries and touches of brown bread. Light sweet flavor with lightly toasted malts and grains, hints of dusty cocoa, mild leafy bitterness, leathery berries. Light jodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Nicely balanced to finish with fruity and bready sweetness, and offsetting dry leafy bitterness. Decent. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2012
Cask conditioned handpump Queen Adelaide Northampton 11/07/12. A dark ruby coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. Starts really rich with chocolate, coffee and fruity notes. Has a milky texture, but then shallows out. Has good promise but then fails to deliver. sm89walt (2065) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 10, 2011
Cask - The Fat Cat Brewery Tap (Cider Shed), Norwich. Disappearing small tan head, mid brown body with a ruddy lining. Fruity, juicy aromas, mildly roasty with a tangy edge, a bit of chocolate and rubber. A vinuous edge on the tongue, an aromatic plumminess, a good roast and some liquorice. Soft, rounded body with a lingering, dryish roasty finish.

Some roast aroma. Mid brown coloured and fruity with some alcohol present. Smooth on the palate. A little bitterness and dryness in a burnt roast finish. imdownthepub (14556) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2009
Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’09. Chestnut with white head. Thin and a little on the sweet side, but certainly smooth and chocolatey malty. A sessionable mild that gains a silky tone. Not bad. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2009
UPDATED: APR 21, 2009 Cask handpull, The Fat Cat, Norwich. Can’t see the ruby for lace. Beautiful, highly kilned smoky mild packed with condition and cocoa, vinous fruit, earth and milky coffee back-up. Fine sweaty hop presence both in the aroma and flavour. Hopped up to the nines for style, but still unmistakably a mild. Totally hits the spot. downender (8660) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2008
