UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 Pours a slightly hazy copper color with an off white head. Aromas of caramel and citrus hops with an alcohol warmth in the end. Light to medium mouth feel with nice lacing in the glass. Slightly bitter finish. Nice beer.

12 ounce bottle. Copper red color. Small creamy beige head. Brisk pine hop nose. Flavor is toasted caramel malt with a bold, spicy hop blast. Notes of resin, pine, cinnamon toast, vanilla, roasted pecans and raisin skins. Bittersweet hoppy finish. Warming alcohol notes. Quite tasty, this one, Agnes!

Bottled on 03/27/17. Nose intense pine, intensely spicy pine, with caramel and dough, lighter fruit and citrus splashes. Pour copper-brown, deepening and darkening, but ever with ruby highlights and a bit of tawny on the side, all a bit hazy; head is soapy tan. Taste strong bitterness but clean and not intense, medium-sweet, strong alcohol and warmth, strong caramel and pine, dough, earth, lighter roast, no nuttiness, fruit is pushed way to the bottom and citrus floated just a layer above that. Full body thick and chewy, woody, great doughy-caramel aftertaste with a little warmth in the throat. It’s a big boy but executed skillfully, smooth and creamy with ordered and balanced flavors despite the boldness, but bright and fresh, worth talking about! [2017.06.05: 3.9]

Love this, best pine-bomb I’ve had.

bottle @ Jungle Jims / Cincinnati OH --- Aroma of caramel malt and citrus hops. Clear amber brown color, beige head that stays at 1, broken curtain of lace. Taste is strong malt that adds unsweetened iced tea on the swallow. Both the sweet and hop flavors share a long finish. Big and bold, but also quite good.

12 oz bottle from Whole Foods Devon. Pours a nice dark red with moderate frothy white head. Milder aroma than I expected; cherry and cough syrup. Eh. Mouthfeel was nice. Not too heavy or syrupy for almost 10%. A good sipper. Speaking of which, -OH is very well hidden. Didn’t taste much of it at all. Taste was as expected for an imperial red IPA. Sweet, with lots of malt but pine hoppyness. No bitterness which was nice. Very good beer. Liked it more than the score indicates. However, it was $5 a bottle so not cheap at all!

Nice sweet malt with a honeysuckle aroma. Amazing red color. Taste is a touch of sweet with some rich hops hitting in the middle and ending with grasses. Mouth is slightly sugary but hops balance is nice. Tap

12oz bottle from the Shell in Harrison, OH, just west of Cincinnati. Reddish amber pour. Off white head. Atoma has grapefruit and caramel. Stone fruit. Taste is of sweet caramel, grapefruit, stone fruit. Tangy pine, vaguely. Medium bodied softly carbonated. The blend is solid. Some alcohol presence. Finished sweeter than bittersweet. Tasty! 14.7
