Draft at Moerlein Lager House. Pours a clear dark orange with a small off-white head. The film settles on one side but the ring goes all the way around. Caramel and toasted and crackery Munich malts, with moderate hop bitterness. Earth and leaves and grass. Light-medium bodied, with a malty, earthy mouthfeel that finishes dry. Good festbier.

On tap at Fat Head’s Portland, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is standard for a fest bier, with notes of dry caramel bready malt and some grassy herbal notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with a grassy, herbal finish. Brewed correctly to style, but not very exciting. Decent.
