Uncivilized and aggressive this west coast styled IPA packs wicked hop flavors and aroma. Savage amounts of Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade hops define this brews signature pine and citrus notes. Try with our smoked wings in the Killer sauce and run the risk of a shrunken head!

Location: 12 oz bottle with jcos, 10/6/13

Aroma: This has a nice hop mix of grapefruit, pine, resin, and some malts as well
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a small white head and some light lace
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, but leans much more toward the hoppy and fairly bitter side
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has a slick feel, average carbonation, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: I found this one to be quite nice. It is fairly bitter, and the bitterness works nicely on the style. Tasty, clean, and bitter, it is what an IPA should be.

The beer has a decent golden straw color to it, good head on the glass and great lacing. The smell comes off with a strong oily resin, piney, and a hint of grapefruit on the back end. The taste just blows you away with a hop punch to the mouth, it delivers a piney, grapefruit flavor that just delivers a great hop flavor but not over the top. The mouthfeel is great with a nice piney flavor that doesn’t dry you out but leaves you wanting more. Overall, a MUST drink for hop heads.

Pours a light copper gold with a thick white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, pineapple and malt. Taste is bitter grapefruit up front with a smooth slight malty finish. Tropical hop bomb. Very nice

Fat Heads Head Hunter IPA: Bottle courtesy of JStax - thanks! A massive pillow of sandy head atop a translucent golden body… very nice appearance. Not much lacing, but good retention. Nose is ripe with citrus and pine. Sweet tropical fruits. The taste is pure hops and the bitterness that comes with a copious amount. Pine resin, florals, and moderate citrus. Light malts in the tail attempt to keep the bitterness in check. Lingering hops… the sticky lip smacking kind. Gets a little more herbal and tea-like in the tail as it warms; helps with the drinkability. Really a hophead’s beer; I can taste the IBUs.

Bottle courtesy of Cory poured into a pint glass. Orangey gold color with a lasting tan head. Candied citrus in the aroma and flavor, orange and lemon candy, slight caramel malt, bitter piney edge. Pretty nice IPA.

Pours clear golden with thick fluffy white head. Aroma is awesome juicy citrus, grapefruit, resin and piney hops. Taste is dank piney resinous hops upfront with some sweet malty notes on the follow through. Aftertaste is lingering bitter citrus/grapefruit and resinous piney hops. Palate is medium and sticky. Overall this is an excellent IPA with great hop punch balanced with a touch of malt sweetness. Seems more like a double ipa, but goes down very smooth.

I am not a hophead and this has much hops so take my rating for what it is worth. Nice aroma to start citrus and hops. Some malt to start but much piney grapefruit hops in middle to end with a dry finish from trade with jsquire

Nose full of orange zest with a pithy fruit underneath. Cloudy good pour. Minimal head moderately bitter. Soft malt flavors. Some alcohol warming. Dry finish. Hop flavor seems a little muddled. ---Rated via intercellular device
