COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Once upon a frozen evening way up north, a sweet local honey named Holly inspired our Jolly Fat Man (as only Holly can) to create this festive spiced holiday ale. We think you will enjoy his holiday creation with it’s aromas and flavors of Christmas day. Sweet malt, ginger, honey and cinnamon spice. Sip this by the fire with your significant other. Who knows, maybe it will lead to a little inspiration of your own. From our Jolly Fat Man to yours, Happy Holidays.

Solid holiday spiced ale with a bunch of spices on a medium sweet brown ale malt body. Certainly easy to drink for the "style" and ABV. Ginger and cinnamon definitely prominent.

Bottle. Dark ruby/amber. Sweet ginger spice aroma with honey. The taste follows exactly with cinnamon, apple, and cherry notes. Good stuff. The aroma really stands out but, the mouthfeel is a bit too thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Fat Head’s Portland, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma is huge on the spices, especially cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavour is the same, with not too much else going on here. Very spice-dominated. Good for what it is, but it’s not my cup of tea (or beer).

Draft. Aroma and taste basically your standard winter beer. Sweeter than I prefer. Cloves, cinnamon, sugar and spice predominate

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with a thin head. Aromas are malty--candy apple, toffee, chocolate and cinnamon. Flavors are cinnamon, milk chocolate, toffee, dried fruit, bready tones. Slight hop bite. Dry finish. Slight alcohol warmth. Pepper mouthfeel. Overall, pretty nice.

Bottle. Hazy red pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma is heavy spiced. Cinnamon, ginger, clove, and light caramel. Tastes heavily spiced and sweet. Lots of cinnamon and ginger, light honey, caramel malt, and sweet breakfast cereal. Medium to full body. Not a big fan of this. Too much spice and generic sweetness.
