hotstuff (5314) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 15, 2018
Rated on 4-12-2018. Bottled on 02/12/18. This beer's appearance is a medium sized slightly fizzy off-white head that is mostly lasting, golden transparent body, fast rising carbonation observed, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents citrus hops pine hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit, earthy, sweet, juicy, caramel, and malt. The flavor is medium-heavy bitterness, citrus hops, pine hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit, juicy, orange, caramel, and malt. The mouthfeel of this beer is semi-lively carbonation and syrupy. This beer is medium-full bodied. Wow this is a very, very good tasting beer!! It is a good solid DIPA beer that is very drinkable for its style. It has a lingering bitter aftertaste and the ABV is not upfront for it being 9.0. It is quite refreshing, worth trying and a beer that I would drink again. Thanks Fat Head's Brewery for a very, very delicious beer!! Ernest (7980) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 4, 2018
Bottle (Feb 14, 2018 bottling).
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium to dark yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (grain, malt syrup), moderately hoppy (melon, apricot, orange), with notes of onions, plastic bags.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean.
Medium to full body, syrupy/velvety texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic.
Alas, a somewhat dirty, oniony rendition. Some of the hop aspects are nice enough, but onion and plastic stink are just as strong in the nose. No enticement to take a sip, but of course I took a few. It's syrupy sweet, with a rather dirty aftertaste, but I suppose it's drinkable in a pinch, thanks mostly to ample finishing bitterness. Surprisingly disappointing given the solidness of Trail Head. Drain pour for me. boto (2309) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAR 27, 2018
12oz. bottle: This one pours a slightly hazy golden color. There was a small off white head that leaves some lacing. Good hop nose. Mainly resinousy pine hops. Some tropical and citrus notes also. The taste is also very good. Resinous piney hops, along with some citrus and tropical flavors. Fairly bitter with no residual sweetness. Nice! Clear copper pour with off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is funky hay and hops. Taste is pungent citrus. Bitter finish Schwarzbart (364) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 19, 2018
Clear and bright with an orange amber color. Citrus dankness, caramel undertones, orange peel, faint vegetal notes, semi-sweet and some alcohol heat as it warms. Being from central PA and this being my first JuJu, this is sort of like a bigger Nugget Nectar.

Clear amber with a decent aroma. Bit of an alcohol roast amongst the pine and grapefruit
