Sample at the brewpub. Cloudy orange pour with a big white head. Citrusy hop nose with a bit of sweet malt. Hop flavor that is piney and citrusy with a bit of malt and a very bitter finish. hopson (635) - Williamsville, New York, USA - OCT 12, 2009
draft- nice resiny/piney hop flavor backed up by a pretty firm malt backbone- very drinkable, and a highlight at fat heads- Cliff (355) - The Land of Milk and Honey, Ohio, USA - OCT 8, 2009
On tap, poured a clear deep golden color. Nice dank hoppy aroma with a bit of malt sweetness in the background. Really nice hoppy flavor balance with some grainy caramel flavors. Really easy drinking and a well crafted pale ale. shigadeyo (3790) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 17, 2009

7/14/2009: Fat Head’s Pack-A-Wollop S.P.A. (Strong Pale Ale) is a great pale ale. It has lots of sweet orange citrus hops with a soft pale and toffee malt base. The flavor has lots of grapefruit, so it is even more citrusy than the aroma. There is a mild to moderate level of bitterness. The beer has a clear, shiny copper color with a dense, creamy, lasting beige head and near solid lacing. Overall I REALLY enjoyed this beer.
Sample (draught; 6.0% abv; 66 ibu) at the Cat’s Eye in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2009. Rating #3 for this beer.
On tap pours amber color with off white head. Aroma is some biscuit with hop pine. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is astringent hops and has a grainy finish. Just ok.
