3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours orange with a fleeting wispy head. Pumpkin spice aroma with malt and some alcohol notes. Big pumpkin pie flavor with some warming at the finish. The mouthfeel is smooth and slightly creamy. The carbonation level is pretty low. The finish is sweet and cloying.
Draft... Pours clear and deeply amber with shimmers of copper and a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma features tons of rich, medium-roast malts and autumn spices. Full-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor is malty-sweet and moderately spicy. There may be some actual pumpkin in here. Just enough bitterness to prevent the sweet, rich malts from getting carried away. Very enjoyable. MaltsterMash (31) - Kokomo, Indiana, USA - OCT 30, 2016
Not much aroma but what it lacks in that it more than makes up for it once you take the first sip. An Imperial Pumpkin Ale, with full body and creamy texture with average carbonation really packs a punch with 9% ABV. You don’t notice this until after you’ve had one, which is how I like my imperial beers. Once I took a sip I immediately got the brown sugar with the sweet malts (caramel) and spices. A much more approachable Imperial Pumpkin Ale than Cigar City, easy drinking but complex. A great beer from Fat Head’s. Clarkdvm (512) - Florida, USA - OCT 27, 2016
Bottle in Fl. Aroma is plain. Tastes like pumpkin beer with hint of bourbon. Typical allspice fall flavors. Tasty jjgmd (2181) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 24, 2016
Back with Zack, pours an amber color with a very ephemeral head . Nose is pumpkin and ’fall’ flavored spices. Taste is heavy with pumpkin and allspice with alcohol very well hidden . Very drinkable ! Finishes on the same spicy seasonal notes, dryly. Quaff Score 7 / 10 zgaier (1957) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 24, 2016
Bottle. Pours an amber orange with a beige head and nice sweet pumpkin spice, malty aroma. Taste is of pumpkin pie spice up front, with malty notes along with fall spices of nutmeg and allspice leading to a pumpkin pie finish. Very drinkable pumpkin style brew

Dark amber color with aroma of spice, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie flavor with hint of spice, and brown sugar. Thick body. Very nice beer in a style is often over done. NikkTwist (3253) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2016
Draft at Moriartys. Murky dark garnet red pour with soft off-white foam. Feels like a spiced Weizenbock/Eisenbock. Medium-dark bready malts. Pumpkin spice - clove, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg. Squash. Pumpernickel. Currants. Raisins. Zucchini bread. Molasses. Darkly sweet but not cloying. High ABV mostly hidden. Balanced enough for what it is. solidfunk (9018) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 20, 2016
Generally the only thing worse than a pumpkin beer is an imperial pumpkin beer. This is slightly better than most pumpkin beers as there is a hint of malt and booze at least. Otherwise... Tap at brewpub. DocJitsu (2002) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2016
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2016 Pours an amber brown with a short antique white head. Pumpkin pie and root beer nose. Richer. You can tell it has a larger grain bill.
