Bottled 12-30-16. Pours a hazy golden with a decent off-white head. Nose involves lemon, lime, toasted malt, and grapefruit pith. Barely sweet, borderline scrapingly bitter. Light bodied, active, oily, with a long dry citric bitter finish. A nice super session hoppy beer.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2017 Draft at Bru Craft. Slightly hazy deep gold pour with solid top of soft egg-shell foam. Lots of lace. Well carbonated but aroma feels blunted. Mellow dank citrus hops. Thick toasted cracker malts. Notes of wax, grapefruit, tree sap, juniper and burnt butter. Finishes like a lager. Full and quaffable.

Can. from VE. Nose of big pine, earth, caramel, some resin and floral notes. Pour clear and fiery orange with a very large and sudsy beige head. Taste really hoppy, bringing out dough and earth, tons and tons of oil, lots of resin and spice, a rye character, heavy dulled caramel, some seeping alcohol, strong florality, juice. Clean and swift, body is medium but the oiliness brings up the feel a notch; musky perfume. Not as bright in the fruit/citrus department, though this one has Citra and Simcoe written all over it. Beautiful. [2016.09.18: 3.7]

Can from the brewery
Pours a fairly clear deep golden color with a huge frothy rocky white head that persists forever. Bready biscuity crackery malt aroma and flavor with plenty of resinous pine and pithy citrus and just a touch of tropical hop character to round this out nicely. Great pale ale although it certainly is straddling the IPA line.

Bottle. It pours a mostly clear orange color with a frothy off white head. The aroma is flowery with lightly toasted malt, pine and grapefruit. Background notes of stone fruit. The flavor is the same. Floral and piney up front with some toasted malt and hints of caramel. Grapefruity and stone fruit hops are strong with a solid bitter finish. A very good APA.
