Chocolate and a bit of roast. Dark brown color. Milky chocolate with a some of the telltale sourish lactose sweetness, roasty, slightly nutty finish. Medium body, average mouthfeel. Meh, not great, but I’m not a fan of mill stouts since I don’t usually car for lactose in beer.

On tap at the brewery: pours muddy, blackish brown, reasonable dense tan ring. Nose of milk chocolate, roasted malts, some herbal hop notes possibly as well. Nice creamy milk sugar sweetness before some roasted coffee and chocolate bitterness rounds out the finish. Good enough

Tap at FH 3Jan2013, not as decidedly smooth or thick as I would expect from a milk stout, palate is a tad thin and there is a minimal amount of sweetness for the style, quite tasty indeed. Dogbrick (13145) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Light to medium body with flavors of sweet milk chocolate, malt and a bit of coffee. The finish is creamy and chocolatey with a sweet aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
