On tap at GABF 2013, nice citrus hops and pine, pine taste was a little too much. Tmoney99 (14983) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 5, 2012
Tap. Poured clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex earthy citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy citrus bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy bitter finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Draft to pint at Dutch’s. Looks good; a semi-transparent orange with sticky off-white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; hoppy with a well-sweet malty backbone. Good on the palate too. Enjoyable. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 21, 2012
On tap. Mostly hazy golden amber color. Thin off-white head leaves good lace. Really smooth lighter carbonation, medium body, with a more dry texture. Very smooth and drinkable. Some pine, orange, resin, tropical aromas, very tasty. Moderate bitter. Nice light but rich unique malt backbone, less like caramel, more like poundcake. Incredibly easy to drink. thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - AUG 14, 2011
12oz bottle via Mike from Fat Head. (This was sent as an extra back in February and I lost it in the fridge until this weekend, Aug. 2011) I was expecting a malt bomb based on the style and age of this beer though it had been in a fridge since it arrived. Pours a golden to light amber with minimal head. Light carbonation. Aroma is grapefruit and pine. No malt at all that I can pick up in the nose. Taste is outstanding with tons of grapefruit and mild bitter hop that comes through more as the beer warms. This is overall one of the best IPAs I’ve had. Not sure if this is truly a single IPA but regardless it is an outstanding beer and one that Hop Head needs to produce more of to trademark whatever process it is that they use to keep the malt from coming out and the hops from fading over 6 months from the bottling date. Thanks again for this one Mike. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 20, 2011
fresh growler at the GLBN IPA challenge (not a competitor). deep golden pour aroma, 7+, pinry, light grapefruit. Big bitter flavor, big big bitterness, grapefruit, well balanced. big agressve IPA. Another winner from Fat Heads. #2600 Veldrid (120) - Canton, Ohio, USA - FEB 18, 2011
Fresh growler. Pours orange with very little head. Aroma citris, especially grapefruit, some pine, and a bit floral. The taste isn’t very complex. it consists of mainly of pine, citrus, and earthiness. The finish bitter which I like and sticks with you.
