Draft. Clear copper color with a white head. Cool aroma that is straight fresh brewed coffee. Wow great flavor too with wonderful coffee throughout. The pale ale miraculously appears in the finish. This is very well made.

Sampled at GABF2013. Pours a somewhat amber color with a big olí white head. Aroma of coffee and thatís about it. Maybe touches of vague hops but itís mostly coffee. Flavor is gas station coffee with some mild caramel extract. Some hops towards the backend. Messy. Unpleasant. Nope.

On tap @ GABF. Hazy amber pour with a huge white head. Green coffee nose. Some peppercorns, grass, and spices. Spicy hops, sweet caramel, and herbs. Flavor is sweet up front with some caramel malt. Spicy coffee and hops. Light herbs, lots of coffee, and peppercorns.

Have tried both the Cartel Coffee Labs and the Ground Control versions. Both were very excellent. Initial aroma is not overly coffee. You get your expected Pale Ale taste initially, followed then by the coffee roast as it goes down. Coffee Pale Ales have always been an odd style for me, mostly because I feel coffee belongs with stouts. But this was surprisingly delicious.

Strong coffee notes in aroma. Copper in color. Solid pale ale, slightly bitter and hoppy -- but the coffee makes the beer. Brewed with whole coffee beans, and imparts an incredibly rich and fresh coffee taste. What lingers is a nice coffee bitterness. Highly recommended! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy, light amber/orange pour with a nice white head. Nose has a big green coffee presence with some light citrus hops and a light hint of caramel. Flavor hits up front coffee, then leads to a citrus and herbal hop note. Finishes bitter. Love this beer!

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2013 On Cask, Orange Pour with a nice fluffy head. Aroma is coffee forward with a little bit of citrus. The flavor has a nice mix of coffee and hop bite. Not for everyone, but I love this beer.

On draught at Fate. Pours hazy amber with an eggshell head. Aroma has citrusy hops, fresh roasted coffee, coffee berries and a little chili pepper. Taste is semi sweet with lots of roasty bitterness and lingering hop bitterness. Thin and dry, the bitterness lasts quite a long time. Nice to see something like this made here in Scottsdale.
