COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique twist on an appellation from Germany, Kölsch Style Ale is light, clean and crisp with a dry finish. It has sessionable malt and hop character and a touch of sweetness. Its fresh flavor comes from the German Pils malt and noble hops and the body glows a brilliant, gold color. This beer is excellent year-round but especially great in the summertime. Hops: Hallertau, Millenium

Ernest (7601) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Can. Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly/fully diminishing. Body is light to medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), with notes of DMS and concrete. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly husky, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. A rather clunky and industrial interpretation. Poor.

Draft. Pours a medium, poorly retained, white head, with minimal lacing, over a clear yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is light fruits, pear, apple, slight cereal, mild spice......taste is slightly sweet with mild pear, apple, light hops spice, without bitterness.....mouth feel light, mild acid from high carbonation. This meets this light delicate style fairly well. Unfortunately the style is not particularly interesting, because it is so light and delicate. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

16 oz can pours a hazy yellow with hardly any head. Watermelon and acetaldehyde in the flavor and aroma. Without the watermelon undertones, this beer would be close to a drain pour. Green apples and watermelon do not go together very well.
