COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is defined by its pronounced hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. It has a solid malt backbone that works with the citrusy American hops. The hop bouquet resonates like flavors of tangerine and ruby red grapefruit. The mouth feel is crisp and dry leaving a balance of bitterness and rich malt on the palate. It is golden honey in color.
Hops: Chinook, Columbus, Cascade, Summit, Eldorado, Amarillo

Sample at the brewery. High fluffy lasting white head. Clear yellow golden body. Powerful apple pear honey aroma and flavor with notes of lemon and oranges as well, fair amount of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long bitter finish.

Part of a mixed 6-pack of cans I bought at Supermarket Liquors in Fort Collins. No dating that I can find. Served on the warm side, it looks a slightly hazy gold with a lot of foam. As the head shrinks, some lacing is left behind. The smell is on the fruity and floral side hop wise. Theres an ample malt nose that appears to me to be sweetish. It has a balanced taste; slightly sweet from the malt with a very light non descipt bitterness. Unusual flavours going on here but I am enjoying them. One of the more balanced IPAs that I have tried. Not sure if its because of the age of my can or it is as the brewer intended. Either way, like I said, its quite enjoyable.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit and pine. Medium mouth, juicy, grapefruit, dank, lingering bitterness, very good.

Cans. Possibly one of the best single IPAs that Ive ever had. Dense citrus and fruity nose. Tropical fruits and citrus flavors are in perfect balance with light-medium malt body. I cant stop drinking it.

Can. Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, melon, orange, resin), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough), with a note of onion. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Nice hop aroma for the most part, only somewhat brought down by oniony and doughy notes. I guess you can expect onion from Summit or Simcoe, but theres just no way I can enjoy that odor in beer...why brewers use either variety is still a mystery. Good flavor balance and appearance help save this one.

Tap at the Med in Boulder, malty tropical fruit nose, herbal bitterness, dry-sweet, more tropical fruit, hint of antiseptic and caramel, delicious balanced AIPA.

12 oz can. Pours hazy dark golden orange with a medium creamy white head that goes to a thin film and laces the glass.

The aroma is lots of grapefruit and green piney hops with some bready crystal malt in the background.

The flavor is sweet crystal malts with lots of grapefruit and citrus followed by a fairly big resiny dank hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a very nice IPA with sweet fruity notes and nice hop bitterness.

On tap at the Flatz bar/lounge in the Renaissance Flatiron Hotel in Broomfield Colorado. A 14 ounce sleeve repoured into a large snifter. A yellow orange beer with generous off white head and pronounced orange citrus nose. In the mouth. . Pronounced and rich citrus orange tang with good hop bite. Some malt there for balance. Lingering malt and orange aftertaste. Quite nice. 3.7.
