At the brewery, dark brown, black pour with a nice roasty aroma and chocolate malt, oatmeal flavor, and a slight hoppy finish. Solid brew!
Tap at the brewery. Pours deep brown with nose of chocolate malt. Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, light oatmeal, some vanilla, and some pine. A touch more bitter than creamy. Not too sweet which I like. Could drink a bunch of this without feeling ill. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 5, 2014
Dark mahogany pour with a small eggshell head that left a spot or two in the glass. Bit of cocoa, roasted coffee, toasted grains, hearty oatmeal, and honey. A little thin for the style. Also looking for a touch of vanilla sweetness. Still, really enjoyable! The family and I easily polished off a growler on Superbowl Sunday. Solid. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Very milk stout like. Getting a lot of milk flavor, but this isn't sweet. Nice roastiness. Wouldn't mind more thickness, but it's just 6.2%. Good.

Growler pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up malts, dark roasted malts, a sliver of white chocolate and a dash of sweet molasses. The taste has pleasing deep dark roasted malts, chocolate tempered by malt sweetness and then a thin layer of molasses. The oatmeal adds only a modest degree of creaminess to the mouthfell. Nice roasty brew. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 27, 2013
Nice bold dark brown pour with a light brown head. The beer has the typical oat creaminess and flavor, but also has more hops than I usually find in this style. I would have prefered a bit more body and a touch more sweetness, but at the end of the pint, I found myself wanting another.

On draught at Fate. Pours dark brown with an espresso head. Aroma has roast, dark chocolate. Taste is bittersweet with lots of roast and some hop bitterness. Thin bodied. I would never have guessed this was an oatmeal stout because there was no creaminess to the body that I was expecting and not enough sweetness. One of my least favorites from Fate.
