COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Served in a half liter glass which is specifically designed to show off it’s color and aroma. The aroma is a product of the strain of yeast used during fermentation which is unique to Hefe Weizen. It produces natural flavors which have been described as banana, clove, bubble gum, plastic, band aids Everyone tastes and smells something different! The heavy addition of wheat ࿒%) softens the flavor of the beer and produces a lot of haze. Although lemon is usually served with a filtered version of this beer, we gladly grant anyone the request of lemon with our Hefe Weizen, although we do not normally do so. Faultline Brewing serves it’s Hefe Weizen year round.

Sampled at the brewhouse. A big time malty hefe. A nice brew that goes down nicely.

Flight at brewery. Hazy golden, thin head. SLI k and chewy mouthfeel. Aroma, sweet, banana and clove. Taste brings in some odd bitterness but doesn’t seem out of place. Not too bad.

On tap @ Faultline. A proper looking beer at least. Milky golden beer with a white head. There’s a lot of coriander and soapy character to this. Like, a lot. Heavy clove, banana taffy, and some sweet breads. Flavor at least is a bit more malt driven, but it’s kind of watery, heavy on the bubblegum, and has some cotton candy.

On tap @ Faultline Brewery, Sunnyvale - CA. Color: cloudy blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: hefe yeast domination. Sweet banana and caramel. Sugar notes. Wheat. Taste: medium body and very easy drinkable. Good banana and wheat taste. Too sweet for me. Aftertaste: good bitterness and sweet banana. Very nice but as I said too sweet for me.

Typical hefe aroma, yeasty and citrusy along with that the color was again typical pale cloudy. The taste however not so typical, banana nut bread with a bit of citrus. The aftertaste was bananaee as well. The body was surprizingly light. Over all not bad

Ungstrup (37905) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JAN 17, 2011
Draft. An unclear golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has strong notes of wheat as well as lighter notes of banana. The flavor is sweet wheaty with light notes of bananas and cloves, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The body is light.
