This brew had an average kolsch smell, kinda grainy and you got a hint of hop. The color was pale and crystal clear. The taste was grainy kinda average with a little bit of hop which is not really normal for a kolsch. It was a smooth light bodied brew and not bad at all. luvcasks (178) - USA - MAY 27, 2006
Low malt aroma with a low noble hop aroma with some faint soft fruit like notes
Straw gold and brilliant, pours with a delicate white head which dissipates quickly
Flavor: Very clean and malt forward followed by hint offruity flavors (like melons/pears), slightly lemon like medium bitterness well restrained
Palate: medium low carbonation, clean with a semi-dry finish
Overall: A very good representation of a Kolsh.... excellent choice on a warm sunny day the soft malt beginning and clean semi dry finish makes it easy going and great with light foods yum! sir__v (2629) - FRANCE - NOV 18, 2015
On tap @ Faultline Brewery, Sunnyvale - CA. Color: clear golden blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: caramel and malt notes. Honey finish. Some sweet and floral notes. Taste: light body with caramel malt domination. Honey notes. Good attenuation. Aftertaste: sweet caramel. Total respect of the style. Nothing special. Draught at the brewpub. Pale gold with a small white head. grainy malt aroma with a touch of sulpher and some grassy, lightly spicy hops. The flavor has a nice grainy maltiness as well, which is balanced by snappy noble hops that give an almost minty flavor. Very clean character overall. Dry with a nice bitterness in the finish that is higher than I expected given the style. Light bodied and generously carbonated, though not to excess. Though there is a touch of candy sweetness form the malt, this really leans more toward hops, which is quite welcome. This makes the golden ale look really bad. Why even bother making both? stevoj (5040) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 27, 2017
Draft at brewery. Pale golden, clear, small foamy head. Big cereal grain notes in the aroma and taste. Crisp and clean, and spot on. Tasty too.

Pours clear light golden with a small white head, some lacing. Cereal, grainy citrus. Nice, clean and crisp. Refreshing in a hot day.
Light yellow gold color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty, grainy and grassy. A medium bodied Kolsch. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are crisp and lightly bitter. Nicely balanced. The hops are just crisp enough to balance the malt sweetness. Crisp and clean. Light and refreshing. Dry finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - FEB 26, 2010
Clear bright yellow with a fizzy white head. Vaniilla and grain aroma
Cereal grain vanilla and malt taste with a smooth bready finish. badhack (554) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 14, 2013
This was a light, refreshing Kolsch. Like all Kolsch’s it’s a little fruity, slightly hoppy in the finish with moderate malts. Nothing offensive. Light on the palate and clear with little head. CaptKirk (175) - Hephzibah, Georgia, USA - AUG 10, 2006
One of the cleanest beers I have had. I am personnaly not much on this style, but when in Rome...Clean fresh finish. I enjoyed this dry flavorful brew.
