COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The FBC Pale Ale is a cross between two styles. The caramelized malt tones and the lower carbonation levels are in the English style, and the bitterness and color are more American. The aroma is derived from a blend of British hops, which gives the beer a fine rounded aroma. The British hops are far less assertive than their American counterparts, which lead to a more agreeable aroma profile for a British Pale Ale.

Pours clear copper with a small off-white head, good lacing. Mild aroma of citrus and fruity. Flavor of grapefruit and herbal, mild bitterness
Noble hops are a distinct flavor

Draft at brewery. I thought this favored the English style, but it came off as a bit flat. Had both the normal and cask pours, cask faired slightly better. Caramel malts, kind of sweet, not too much hop presence. Not your typical pale ale, and not so great.

brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 4, 2016
On tap @ Faultline. Clear orange beer with a white head. Definitely some butter and lemon juice to this. Not very good. Slight butter, some toasted bread, and a lot of grains. Decent enough orange peel hop aroma and flavor, I guess. Weird watermelon rind flavor to the finish. No thanks.
