WillemsUrenkel (1818) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - JUN 4, 2017
0,33 l bottle purchased directly from the brewery. Unclear pale golden, more than one finger white head. Smells definitive hopy, some grape and citrus. Taste starts dry hopy fruity, fresh and crisp. Increasing bitterness in the second row but below Pale Ale style. Also some fruity sweetness and caramell. Really nice one.

GoufCustom (1977) - HONG KONG - JAN 21, 2017

750ml flip-top bottle opened with very loud “pop” bought at Bottles XO’s booth at HKCEC in Wan Chai during The 14th Hong Kong Food Festival.

Looks: Cloudy hazy straw golden honey colour; Explosive four finger head and crumpety white foam which last for four minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with fizzy small carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet full malt, with strong lychee, grapefruit, strong apricots, passion fruits, strong honey, strong floral, sugar, strong spices, biscuits, yeast, strong lemon and fresh grass. Lovely!

Taste: Mid to light sweet malt, with orange peels, light grapefruit, strong floral, honey, wood, spices, biscuits, yeast, strong lemon, close to strong bitter hops and strong grass.

Body: Mid to light body. Very slick palate.

Mouth Feel: Very good maltyness in slightly thinned background. Very slick and smooth. Very notable hoppy orange and light grapefruits, very flowery with strong honey-ish undertone. Woody spicy with strong lemon to round. Very nice!

Hoppiness: Lychee, grapefruit, apricots, passion fruits, floral, strong spices, lemon and fresh grass in nose. Orange peels, light grapefruit, floral, wood, spices, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is fairly strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent bitter-sweet malty finish.

After Taste: Quite dry. Fruity and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one has an already solid Kellerbier base, with lovely tropical hoppy aroma and solid citrus taste. Very satisfying for hopheads who wants a level-up on traditional style such as unfiltered lagers. A rock-solid crafty Kellerbier, well worth sharing this bomber with friends. Yes!

26-11-16 // sample at CraftBeerMesse Mainz. Pretty easy to drink and light beer but with a nice complexity of malts and hop bitterness. Really enjoyed it. Citrus and grassy hop notes.

ALIBALI (1986) - Kiel, GERMANY - AUG 20, 2016

Nice bottle but no information on the bottle about the drinktemperature. A cloudy golden beer with a stable white head, hoppy, grass, good light bitter, light until medium body, short finish, (I have a 0.75l bottle with best-before 20.10.2016)
