motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, - FEB 6, 2007
bottled. murky golden with a lingering head. bockish aroma of alcohol and golden syrup. tasted of kiwi fruit and honey on toast, some vanilla, quite heady, plenty of alcohol showing but in a good way

hauxe (757) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - MAR 29, 2017
Pours honey yellow with a thick, foamy head. The aroma is red grape juice just after the pour, quickly vanishing to be replaced with a mix of hay and garden herb. Taste is overall sweet and fairly typical for the style with traces of honey, lemon and bread. Medium bodied. Overall decent but very dull. Doubtful that this was worth 30 minutes of my life.

vipinvelp (4427) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2016
Clear yellow, white lacing foam head. Decent barley aroma and taste for this style. Just an OK beer. (Velp 201611)

TEJA (3056) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 11, 2016
Bottle from Johan Schultz. Thanks. Big and lasting white head. Clear pale yellow color. Fresh malty aroma with-a-tuch of Nobel hops. Clean malty with a small acidity and mild bitterness.

Maracuja05 (1280) - Mainz, GERMANY - SEP 8, 2016
[backlog] 12-04-16 / bottle. Medium sweet. Malty base, not to strong. Light flower, hay aroma. Slight bitter. Good. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 3/5

RW80 (2574) - Hoogeveen, NETHERLANDS - AUG 21, 2016
0,5 l Bottle Appearance: Hazy golden-strawy colour with an airy whitish head.Aroma: hops and straw, white bread. Taste: moderate bitter and below average sweentess, some hops, grains, white bread, straw, some tones of dried flower and herbs, Average body and carbonation. Decent for it’s style.

harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 7, 2016
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines and drunk at home. Gold, slight haze, lasting thick white head. Decent lager aroma. Some good lemon on the aroma. Actually this is rather likeable. Some decent pale malts. Yes a lemony, nicely carbonated beer. I liked it.

McWorta (1627) - LUXEMBOURG - DEC 9, 2015
Golden opalescent with a fluffy white head and good lacings. Aromas of lightly toasted malts, floral hops and flower honey develop. Soft carbonation with a light slick texture and a slender body. Good balance between malty honey sweetness and floral hoppy bitterness. Short to medium lasting finish on the palate. Nice!

GoufCustom (2002) - HONG KONG - NOV 22, 2015

500ml flip-top bottle opened with loud “pop” bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Cloudy hazy straw golden honey colour with a thin trace of dirt-like yeast sediments; Explosive three finger head and crumpety white foam which last for two minutes; Excellent sticky lacing and quite fizzy carbonation; Fragrant sweet aroma of bready malt, with strong floral, strong honey, sugar cane, spices, bread, yeast, faint lemon and light grass; Close to medium sweet taste of full malt, with floral, honey, strong molasses, thick bread, yeast, moderate lemon, light bitter hops and light grass; Mid to light body. Slick palate; Mouth feel is full maltyness in a solid body and fairly thick background. Full glory of floral, honey and molasses permeates. Lightly spiced, bready and quite yeasty. Light lemon to round. Very nice!... Hoppiness is strong floral, strong honey, spices, faint lemon and light grass in nose and taste; Bitterness is moderately light for an abrupt, low astringent sweet malty finish; Quite dry after taste. Nice sweet and quite easy to mouth.

Comments: This is a very solid Zwickel / Kellerbier with good looks, strong maltyness, expressive flowal and honey characters. More like an unfiltered version of Faust’s Helles. Easily enjoyable!
