ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Dark, opaque orange in color with a bright white head. The aroma is intense with banana, cloves, and some residual sugars. Belgian yeast, no doubt, is front and center, contributing to a very thick, yeasty body. It’s not as dosed with banana in the flavor as it is in the aroma, but it’s still potent with these characteristics. Yeast is in your face, but still pleasant. Easy on the palate, enjoyable, and yes, very yeasty but very palatable. The yeast does weigh down on the belly. It’s definitely a thick beer. A good Tripel, it’s clean, completely non-offensive, with a nice flavor... just heavy. Best in small amounts.
