Summat deeply weird’s going on here, but my friends and I were more than keen on trying a beer that sounds a bit like "Halifax" and was for sale in Berlin for under the minimum unit price in the UK in ridiculous litre cans at 10%. Imagine blending any old lager in with a bag of pick’n’mix, possibly including the pick’n’mix wrappers, and you have Faxe. Don’t expect to be able to open your eyes properly after having it. Drunk from the can as it slowly went to room temperature, at which point it tasted like summat you’d find under the settee. Don’t know whether I’m rating it cruelly or kindly.

Pours golden with medium white head. Aroma is malts, dust, alcohol, vegetables. Taste is sweet, vegetables, carrot, some potatoes, alcohol, liquor, waste water. Beer for ironman only!

Zlotta (4151) - Hagen, GERMANY - JAN 10, 2018
Sampled from 1 l can from local 'Trink & Spare', best before February 2019. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly boozy and a bit grassy aroma of grains, sugar and some straw. Rather sweet, malty, sugary and slightly grassy taste of grains, sugar and some straw, followed by a long, moderately bitter, sharply alcoholic and a bit metallic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty thin for that abv, finishes very harsh, still not as bad as expected.

Pale golden color, small white head. Aroma malt, alcohol. Taste malt, sugar, corn, bubble gum, alcohol warm, bitter finish. Not so bad, drinkable.

1000ml from Tesco. Dear lord, give me strength to survive this 4 regular beers packed in one can. This seems to be master of disguises as it looks like a regular lager when pours into the glass. But not entirely aroma gives you warning you are about to step into minefield of heavy alcohol experience and taste more than happily supports this. It's NOT that bad. But alcohol is killing pretty much everything besides light metallic taste. Now only to finish the can...

bunget (1042) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 12, 2017
Can. Clear golden body with big white head, good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grains, corn, herbs, wet cardboard and hay. Taste of grains, hay, sugar and corn, some booze. Not horrible for what it is.

Pours clear golden colour with light white head. Mild malty aroma, a bit of syrup. Strong, cloying sweetness. I wouldn’t call it particularly pleasant.

500ml can [another Azizzian addendum - thank you very much!]. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Strawy, pale malty and minimally metallic, hoppy aroma, a touch of corn. Taste is dry, bitter and alcoholic, strawy pale malty, hints of corn, metallic hoppy overtones. Will not only keep your garden 100% snail-free if properly used, should be suitable for the annihilation of elephants as well (if there are any that burl your lettuce).
