piscator34 (2574) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 5, 2006
Canned sample. Light copper in colour with strong carbonation. Very sweet caramel malt aroma, along with a hit of sulfur. Cloyingly sweet flavors with a bit of peppery hop on the finish. Not much to this one. A poor effort.

Did this side by side with the old Faxe Amber (1906 Classic). Identical colour of bright golden-amber. Aroma on this one is more alcohol oriented, with sweet caramel. Despite the lighter aroma, the flavour is stronger than its predecessor, mind you not as good. Just a flat, sweet, caramel syrup sort of thing. Sweet, flat finish. Not an improvement.

HenrikSoegaard (14291) - Randers, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2006
Can. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. OK moderate malty aroma. Week flavor, short finish. Watery palate. Compared to other danish industrial ADL. blå x-mas: much worse.

JohnBarleycorn (537) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 19, 2006
Medium-amber beverage with some dark-gold fading out towards the edges. Unappealing soap-suds head. Mild aromas of cherry, toffee/caramel and sweet malt. Smooth palate enables effortless quaffing. Flavours are rather lifeless, leaving the creamy palate to do most of the pleasing. Average, drinkable stuff.

From a tall can this light amber coloured beer has an aroma of light malts and lots of corn. Flavour tastes corny as well and rather sweet. Some hops finish out the drink but overall I didn’t care for this one.

freekyp (2363) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JUL 1, 2006
Clear sparkling amber with a large frothy white head, this brew had very little in the aroma department. Decent malt character with a balanced hop profile, and a lightly tangy finish. Hop bitterness is quick and sharp, but not fruity.

Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 28, 2006
Can. Amber gold with medium tan head. Sweet candy malt nose with mineral hop character, hints of corn at edges. Medium bodied, smooth with light bitter sweet finish. Light fruity front more of corn character between. Simple beer with out any identity.

NosirIwont (2560) - Husum, DENMARK - JUN 21, 2006
Can. Pours light golden-amber with a white head. Dryish, slightly malty aroma with fruity and sourish notes. Flavour is sweetish with notes of raisins. Hops as well. Small bitterness. Slightly watery finish. 22-06-06.

Not bad, dark amber colour, nice soft spicy flavour on the palete, really just a solid beer. What I was hoping for and nothing more.

Tranquillity (2461) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2006
This one pours with a very even, tough dirty-coloured head which disappears quickly. The colour is dark cupper. Absolutely no arome whatsoever, except for a slight hint of absinthe. The flavors are rich and strong for being a lager. Toffee, caramel, very sweet. The aftertaste is long and perfect on a hot summer afternoon. A very good thirst quencher.
