I love this brew. I know most people do not. Everything from the taste, to the palate to the appearance agrees with me. The only sense that is not as agreeable is the corny alcohol smell. I dunno, maybe its a genetic thing, I have Danish blood so it must be far easier for me to love this stuff than most others. Cheap and effective, cool logo. From the can, this poured a darkish gold with a moderate white head, which left some nice lacing (a small bit). Aroma was mostly malt with something else in the background, fruit perhaps? Taste was a bit of malt and the high ABV was clearly evident. Easy to drink for a strong beer. Crit (4057) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 18, 2004

Gedronken bij dutchdrebus met banzai en joris, blik van een liter, goud helder kleurtje met een stevige schuimlaag. Pilsgeur, smaakt bitter, waterig. presario (4925) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 27, 2004
Light gold colour. White head with lasting clumps and light lacing. Light aroma of alcohol and hop. A strong alcohol lager. High in alcohol nicely balanced if kept cold. Not great even for a lager but better than average as an inexpensive high-alcohol beer. Metalchopz (3526) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2012
Originally rated March 2005. Just like their 10%, pours a golden-yellow light colour with a descent white head, and mild lacing. Looks like a plain lager, and retention is not bad. Says 8.0% on the can. Smells malty with hints of lemon and alcohol. A few spots are releasing carbonation, but that is about it. Watery flat mouthfeel with not much burn. A mild taste of bitterness with some apple aftertaste. No corn compared to the 10%, but still prefered the other one. fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2004
Blond color. Quite sweet Strong Lager, with a light fruitness, and a long final. Not too bad.
