pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - APR 5, 2014On draught at Fearless Brewing Company. Deep dark brown color. Aroma is smoke, coffee, and cocoa nibs. Taste is sweet smokey BBQ, coffee, and dark chocolate. Long-lasting smokey sweet aftertaste. A good full-bodied porter.
beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - OCT 12, 2008Pours pitch black with a small beige head. Big roasty burnt aroma and flavor. Nice bitter dark bakers chocolate flavor throughout, big bitter finish that gave off hints of dry cocoa. Smooth and delicious. Sadly this was served to cold, I had to wait for it to warm up a bit and it really came to life.
troopie (2588) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - OCT 12, 2008Draught. Poured deep black/brorown with thick tan head. Aroma of malt, bittersweet chocolate and toast. Full caramel/malt flavour, with coffee notes. Lasting finish, more coffee, chocolate and malt.
boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 5, 2008Tap @ Fearless... Poured black with amber highlights and a thin beige head. Roasted malt and coffee beans on the nose. Strong coffee flavors, and some slight hops that are definitely over-shadowed by malt and roasted grains.
harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - MAR 18, 2006Deep brown with some ruby edges and small tan ring of foam. The nose is big and roasty, with some nice hoppiness, some light smoke and huge amounts of rich chocolate. There is some phenolic notes in there and a bit of acidity that is not to my liking, but overall this is pretty well balanced and creamy on the palate.
CaptKirk (175) - Hephzibah, Georgia, USA - OCT 18, 2005Not as dark in color when you think of a porter. Lots of hops in this one! Starts with a smooth smoky taste the sits on the tongue after the beer is gone waiting for the next sip, then the bitterness comes. For me, too much hops for this type of beer, but worth a try while enjoying the atmosphere of the bar.
Sham (1845) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 12, 2005Dark brown with a light creamy head and spots of lace. Chocolate and roast aromas with hints of smoke. Bitter hops. Smoke again barely shows up in the flavors with some roast and chocolate. Bitter hops. Thin body with a finish of smoky chocolate.
BückDich (5465) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUL 9, 2004Dark ruby with cherry edges, light head retention. The aroma is a full sweet assault with loads of chocolate malt, high lovibond crystal and toffee smells. Almost like they added hazelnut extract. Very low to almost no roasted smells. The flavor has a faint roasted barley feel with molasses & oatmeal, not as sweet as the smell would convince you of. Finishes balanced, creamy & mellow. Very tasty porter!
