Aroma is woody oaky with some citrusy sweetness
Flava is woody with notes of tobacco hints of maple and touch of cinnamon
Feels light to medium with lively fizzy foam
Finishes tangy malty sweet SteveOrz85 (261) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 24, 2015
2015 edition. Big bottle picked up at Bethlehem Brew works. Served fridge chilled. Tulip glass. Thin off white head. Significantly thinner than regular version out of corked bottle. Some light lacing but not much. Aroma has some lighter bourbon notes and faint malts and spices. Taste is lightly sweet with faint notes of bourbon and light spicing. Light bodied beer though reasonably high alcohol (9%). Lighter to average carbonation. Over all a enjoyable holiday ale. Was a bit unsure how the bourbon aging would work with the spiced ale style, pleasently pleased, though not blown away. Would likely pick up again. egajdzis (6969) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2015
Reddish brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, spices, cherries, vanilla, wood, and bourbon. Taste of caramel, spices, cherries, light wood, and faint bourbon in the finish. DocLock (11301) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2014
Draft at Capone’s. Poured hazy ruby brownish with tan head. Nose was plum, earthy malt, spice, oaky bourbon. Tasted like woodier mad ekf, with more complexity and nuance. WanderinCelt87 (197) - Hamburg, New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Pours a lovely dark brown with a white head. Has a nice bourbon aroma. You taste the bourbon upfront. Has a very sweet after taste.

Instead of reaching for some bourbon as an after dinner drink, you can get the best of both worlds with this beer! A little bit overpowering at first, but as it warms up and as your sips get a little deeper this beer delighted me. Warms your body and soul, spiced bourbon and a bit of alcohol bite for that bourbon experience! italianjohn (3417) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 6, 2013
2011 bbl aged for the Hulmeville Inn .... Poured a deep amber with a thin ring of off white head and a thick oily clear lacing on the glass ... aroma of cherry, vanilla, caramel malts, oak and light bourbon (cherry comes through well in the aroma) ...... Taste is of cherry, spicy cinnamon, oak, bourbon and some light dark fruit ...... definitely bourbony and boozy .... very dry oaky finish with a warming abv ..... aroma hides the abv real well .... the taste has a nice sharp spicy bourbon bite .... well done hopdog (13606) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 24, 2013

On tap at Capone’s. Pours a dark amber color with an aroma of cherry, spice, and bourbon. Lots of cherry flavor with spice background and a hint of bourbon. Very nice. jeremytoni (3085) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - FEB 3, 2013
From the tap poured a dark amber color with almost no head. Strong sweet malty flavor with a lasing aftertaste.
