Bottle from Capones.. Pour is a dark dark brown with light tan head that forms a small collar around the glass..lighter brown to the edges. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, cherry, bourbon, maple wood. Taste is slightly sweet.. bourbon, vanilla, wood, molasses, toffee, maple syrup. Mouthfeel is thin and sweet. Short hoppy bitter finish.. Consistency is too thin.. decent beer.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is black. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, roasted grain, caramel), with a strong note of bourbon/whiskey, other notes of wood, alcohol, vanilla. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery/creamy/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Not too bad for this sorta thing, but really heavy on the bourbon...malt character is just barely able to show through that. I probably would like the unaged version better. Quite sweet, but still drinkable thanks to not being overly syrupy nor too hot/burning.

It pours black with a dark brown head. It has aromas of bourbon, roast, chocolate, dark fruits, raisins, and hints of vanilla. There are chocolate flavors, bourbon, dark fruits, raisins, hints of vanilla, and a slight burnt taste. It has a heavy feel to it that is bitter and has plenty of alcohol warming.

Scent is heavy ripe black cherry and sweet tobacco cigars. Black with almost no head. Taste has nice boozy quality, but easy to drink. Not overly harsh. Mouth is good and full but again simple enough to not make you feel full. Bottle

Well built full bodied malty Imperial Stout that is maximized flavors with barrel aging. Coffee, roast, vanilla and bourbon goodness. Not too boozy, just right for my palate.

Thick black pour with a cola colored head with a lasting small film. Big sweet bourbon, roasted coffee, and chocolate aroma. Smells delicious. Taste is dominated by bourbon with some vanilla and chocolate notes. Maybe a bit too boozy overall. Lighter mouthful than i expected. Smooth flat texture.

12oz bottle into tulip glass, opaque black color with dark tan head. Aroma notes of heavy roasted malt sweetness, chocolate, licorice, bourbon, vanilla, light coffee and some oak. Taste seems more bourbon barrel forward; mocha, malt chocolate, vanilla bean, dark dried fruits, caramel, wood char and booze. Heavy body, low carbonation, creamy, rich with lingering sweet, roasty chocolate finish. Quite enjoyed this, very chocolatey leaning barreled RIS.
