12 oz single from Spirits Toms River. Poured a good looking clear red/orange body with a smaller off white foamy head. Aroma started off with a big burst of spices and pumpkin, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, vanilla extract, pumpkinm, grainy malts, alcohol. Solid body with a medium to slightly fuller mouthfeel, stronger carbonation, a good dose of alcohol heat throughout. Flavor isn’t as good as the aroma and sadly the spcie that dominates now is more nutmeg and corriander along with some wet bread and raisin notes. The flavor needs improvement but this is still a good beer despite the crazy hight ABV. DiarmaidBHK (5662) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2011
Pours dark brown from bottle with a pretty sizable light brown head. Nice pumpkin notes on the nose. It’s when I pour the beer into my mouth it starts to fall apart. Lots of carbonation on the tongue but the taste is fairly thin. The pumpkin only flashes briefly before disappearing although theres this residual taste that lingers as though I brushed my teeth with pumpkin toothpaste. It’s a bit drier then I was expecting. Not my fave beer from these guys. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2011
Picked this up at Capone’s a month or so ago. Shared at our big pumpkin tasting.
Pours a slightly-pale and hazed orange color with a really nice, lasting off white head. Nose is pretty plain, with a bit of spicing and hints of pumpkin in the background. The taste also brings on a bit of pale malt. Really quite plain in general. Feel is light with fairly high levels of carbonation for the style. This goes down pretty easily for its strength, but there’s nothing too memorable about it.

I was super excited to try this one on Thanksgiving to compliment dessert, sadly I was more then a little let down. The pour was dark and brownish, with a nice thick head to it, but I didn’t get a lot of pumpkin or spice in the aroma that I was hoping for. I did get pumpkin and nutmeg and spice, but just not enough of it. The flavors were pretty balanced, but I was just somewhat disappointed by that point and didn’t really pay any more attention to it. Tap at Allentown. Pours a slightly cloudy deep amber with a fizzy head. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice, dough, caramel malts- almost sharp and light metallic- some burnt toffee, and biscuits. Flavor is earthy, spice, grassy, pumpkin pie, cardamon and black peppery harsh spiciness, then smoother nutmeg and cinnamon and clove. Moderately smooth finish. Ok.

750mlo bottle thanks to Jtclockwork. Thanks buddy. Pours hazy amber with white head. Aromas of pumpkin spices, cinnamon, bready malts, and some nutmeg. Flavor of pumkin, spices, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Nice malty base. Pumpkin spice is not over top which is nice. Not a big fan of pumpkin brews but this was pretty good. deyholla (12021) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a hazy deep orange with a near white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was full of pumpkin backed by spice with cinnamon coming through. Flavor began with pumpkin and was back by a growing spice, but the spice never overwhelmed the beer. nickd717 (4822) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 20, 2010
750ml bottle thanks to StormKing47. Pours a dark clear amber-brown color with a 1.5-finger yellow-tan head and some lacing. Aroma is pretty nice, with big pumpkin spice and sweet caramel. Nothing crazy. The flavor is good but a bit overspiced. Big cardamom, allspice, and nutmeg, with caramel malt and slight pumpkin. The mouthfeel is decent, medium-full bodied with medium-low carbonation and a little spicy tingling. Not bad overall. Tough to drink a lot of though - a 3oz tick is enough for me. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2010
pours a deep caramel/brown color...slightly opaque...with a medium tan head...lively looking. aroma has hints of allspice and nutmeg...also an earthy, wheaty aroma...definitely reminds me of the fall (autumnal aroma?) flavor hints at pumpkin up front but is dominated by spices...not muddled or overly aggressive though. finish is much like a wiezenbock with some clove and an earthy dryness...hint of alcohol. lively mouthfeel is not as heavy as expected. pretty good...reminds me of riverhorse hipp-o-lantern. fsbw21086 (481) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 20, 2010
Medium body with hints of all seasonal Flavors but not overpowering. Dryish finish that ends nicely.
