COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppiest Brew Works beer ever? The smell of grapefruit, a sweet malt flavor, and oh by the way, lots of hop bitterness. Brewed in the tradition of West Coast ales, we have put loads of malt and hops in our kettle to come up with this sensational ale. Brewed with pale, and crystal malts, hopped with Tomahawks for Yakima Valley, WA. This beer styled has made many a microbrewery famous and this one is sure to please all those who love hops.

Bottle. Gold with an off white head. Flowery hops, with lighter piney notes on a moderately sweet malty base. Not quite as hoppy as it could be, but still a solid IPA.

Balanced drinkable IPA. Rich copper colour with creamy head. Easy drinking, almost a session beer!

A little underwhelming.. esp. with the label cautioning a "hop explosion". Still, a nice well balanced beer. Not west coast in the fact it delivers quite a bit of malt flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2012 Bottle at lucky lab. Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma is all grapefruit. Taste is pretty damn bitter with a lot of grapefruit sweetness. Overall awesome local brew.

Nice strong 2 inch+ head of fine off-white bubbles. Lots of citrus in the aroma with oranges, mild malts and some cereal grains. Color is a clear light golden orange. Hmmm, bit of roasted malts, orange peel and some hoppy bitterness. Not a very sharp bitterness at all. Kind of a mild sneak up on you dry bitterness that fades quickly. Rather bland flavor. A bit oily on the palate with some lingering grapefruit pith. An ok IPA.

gyllenbock (9175) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 28, 2012
Bottle at Oliver Twist, May 2012. Clear light amber with a small white head. A lot of grape and hops in this one. Not bad but a bit one-dimensional. Bitter finish.

Ganska stor humleton. Mycket besk och aningen entonig. Fin fyllighet. Helt ok men saknar frukten. Ganska rå. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

PhillyCraft (7225) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Bottle, pours a copper color, slightly clear. Awesome foamy thick head and lacing streaks. Aromas of fresh hops, melon, tangy orange, grass. Taste is a smooth and hoppy caramel orange profile. Not too bitter, very drinkable.

JFGrind (2047) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Massive hop and biscuit aroma, golden body and strong foam throughout the sample. Hops are there but the alcohol sweetness is battling bitterness for my palate. Tastes like a strong 2XIPA but only an IPA. Great beer but with a few tweaks I predict this would be a five star IPA.

Bottled. Poured hazy medium orange with a tall, creamy, sticky white head. The aroma picked up spicy pine and grapefruit over soft biscuity malts.. hops seemed a little muted, but the balance was right on. The flavor found a lot more of the biscuity malts at the core, along with a kiss of honey.. moderate earth and grapefruit bitterness around.. more bitter and spicy on the finish.. things seemed a little broken down, but it was still aiight. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. I’d love to try this super-fresh sometime.
