One of my favorite beers at the Brew Works. The extra hoppy flavor is close to perfection. grundsow (135) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 2, 2014
Really enjoyed this beer. Hoppy and bitter. Not super-permeating, but good stuff. Admiral (524) - Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2001
A little paler than usual for an IPA, but hoppier even than the Weyerbacher Hop Infusion. Wonderful. egajdzis (6692) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 7, 2009
Hazy amber with a small off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus, pine, sticky caramel, and grapefruit. Taste of citrus, pine resin, some honey, vanilla, and bitter grapefruit. One of the better brewpub IPAs from PA. MrBendo (1064) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - JAN 4, 2010
Draft at Capone’s. Surprise, surprise, surprise. A decent hop-monster brewed right in the backwaters of PA. Clear amber/orange with a decent head. Aroma of grapefruit and other more exotic tropical fruit. Taste was in your face hop brashness without a lot of syrupy sweetness that plagues some IIPA’s. The high ABV is barely noticible. End is bitter and fairly clean and my growler is going to prove invaluable for the next few nights.

Caramel colored pour with off-white head. Big fruity hop aroma, that tastes on the piney side, with a fair amount of balancing malts. A very drinkable, very solid IPA with a notable complexity. My menu stated that this one is 7.2% ABV. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 5, 2006
on tap-pours a light tan head with some lacing and copper color. Aroma is plenty of both medium hops-citrus and medium malt. Taste is plenty of both medium hops-citrus-pine-mild bitterness and medium malt-some sweetness-caramel. The bitterness at the finish increases through the beer. Good carbonation. aroma was great vanilla, rose hip, cinnamon, really nice! Amber/honey with a little white lacing. Tastes vanilla, spices with a bitter citrus punch on the back end a great beer! fuchebu (146) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2002
This is a well hopped version of a hoppy beer. One of the better beers from this brewpub. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2011
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a light orange-ish color with a nice white head and a pretty decent amount of lace rings as it goes down my glass. Nose brings a really nice amount of citrus hops with orange and grapefruit zest coming to mind. A bit of floral hops as well. Taste brings in a tiny bit of slightly-sweet pale malt, but mostly there’s some hop bitterness and some citrus flavor. Feel is somewhat light with a good bitterness and nice carbonation. Drinks quite well; a good first experience with Allentown.
