Bomber from the local. Pours a clear orange amber with a fluffy white head. The aroma is a delight to my hop loving senses. Leafy, citrusy, hop notes spring from the bottle. Crisp and refreshing with steady carbonation. Alcohol not very well hidden in the finish but I’m not complaining.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2017 Pours a hazy gold-orange with light white head. A strong fruit malt and alcohol aroma. A strong alcohol taste with citrus hop and fruity malts. A lingering alcohol flavor with sweet malts.

Backlog, bottle on a few occasions. This was drank in 13 or 14. Pours a reddish orange color with medium head. Aroma and flavor of stale hop, cardboard, pine, ash, and bitter citrus. Light to medium bodied.

One of my al time favorites. Golden color with a golden taste. Not too sweet on the malt side considering the very high abv. Tropical, piney, citrusy, some mango and a light butterscotch finish. So good so smooth a person forgets about the 11.5% until it's too late. How awesome is that!?!

ElCapitan22 (363) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 16, 2017
Pours a nice solid gold color and has some nice lacing, which is rare due to the high abv. Smells very boozy and piney. Tastes boozy as well and also slightly citrusy.

Bottle. Bright and golden, moderately active, with a thin but boiling head. The aroma hints at a behemoth in this otherwise innocent-looking glass. Onto the tongue, the beer belies its high ABV, thick and viscous, with almost a burn on the palate. Firm bock-like malt with a decent flourish on top. Good one. (#6414, 11/23/2016)

TattooJack (534) - Illinois, USA - SEP 14, 2016
Poured from 3 bottles of a mixed six, smells delightful. Taste is sticky resin, lots of hops, spicy, dry ending, not boozy for being 11.5%. I would be a regular consumer of this beer if it were available anywhere close to me. If anyone wants to trade for something in Chicago message me.

On tap at Caliente. Pours a clear orange gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong floral and earth. Medium body, pine, dank, resin finish, very good.

Not much head, good amount of lacing. Pretty hefty mouthfeel that comes across as super sweet with heavy balanced hops within. More booze bomb than hop bomb. I washed it down with an all day IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a caramel gold with near zero head.....aroma of melon, candied fruit, syrupy malt.......taste is booze, dried fruits, heavy malt, bitter, more booze on the backend.

DATE TASTED: March 20, 2016... GLASSWARE: Maudite snifter... OCCASION: a Sunday spent at Lenape Valley’s The World Goes Round... APPEARANCE: pours a strong orange/yellow amber body with ample effervescence... the head is a thick, creamy half-finger that coats intermittently... not demonstrative as it drains, with little to trace due to its high alcohol... AROMA: strong grapefruit and resin, with dank basement and orange peel as secondary aromas--not as big as anticipated... tough to ferret out the malts ... PALATE: here is the warmth, with a stoker-sized presence in the throat... a slight buzz about the teeth suggests n IPA,, but again, not the collision expected when in the presence of royalty...TASTE: the grapefruit is pronounced, while the resin and pine makes for a classic forest-and-field wedding.... some late malt akin to whiskey, but overall the profile is decidedly one-sided... OVERALL: the unmistakable Summit and Citrus hops have this beer smiling sunshine, while the Chinook represent enough to divide the hop character... still, as solid as this is, it does not approach the power or profile of other Imperials... but a tasty, solid beer nonetheless....
