12-oz. bottle provided via trade with hopdog. Pours clear red with an average frothy off-white head, somewhat diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel), average hops (perfume), average yeast (dough) with notes of light alcohol, clove, banana, nutmeg, cinnamon and coriander. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation and a slightly bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness; spicy mouthfeel. crossovert (13413) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2013

12oz bottle. Poured a dark and cloudy brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves (and I’m sure I’m missing a couple other spices in there), and on the fruity side. Closely reminded me of a stick of gum that’s been chewed on for a while. Tastes of the same. Spices are there in the tastes but not overpowering. Tastes like a spiced cake of some sort. Alcohol content well hidden. Lacing left on the glass.

on tap-pours a thin whitehead. Color is amber with effervescence. Aroma is malt. Taste is sweet, alcohol, malt, fruit, cinnamon, syrupy. Not my taste. Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 20, 2006
Initially from fridge with a cloudy yeasty peach colour, soap bubble head. Good kitchen spice cabinet aroma. Initially creamy good medium mouthfeel, and spices refreshed.Like a good Begium, yet hint of metallic finish. As glass warmed, mouthfeel felt thinner and spices Ok but not delicious, more like an American Winter warmer.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2006 Sparkling clear amber ale. Fizzy, off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander and allspice. Flavor matches the aroma... all the spices and warm alcohol. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and fizzy arbonation. Short finish that starts sweet and ends up bone-dry. Odd, but nice. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Bottle from Super Saver, Somerville, NJ. Deep brown hazy pour with huge spicy aroma. The taste was dense and very spicy, perhaps too spicy. As it warmed, it got a little muddled and hard to finish. In the mold of Weyerbacher Decadence.
