12 oz bottle from Canal’s Hainesport. Poured an ugly hazy orange body with a tiny hint of pink siting underneath a large foamy mostly white head. Aroma is sweet with lots of sugary raspberry puree up front then the saison notes kick in with some spice, pepper, rotting lemons and moldy old wet bread. Fuller almost milky body with stingy carbonation and a dry finish that is just a weird combination. Flavor of dry bread, old raspberry skins, spice and belgian yeast. This is a combo that just doesn’t work, I am glad I found a 12 oz single and didn’t have to choke down the big bottle or worse 5 more 12ozers. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUN 25, 2011
Courtesy of markwise. Oh yeah, a beer called Space Monkey has gotta be good, right? Cool name and pretty cool label to boot. The 12oz bottle pours clear dark gold with thin white head. The aroma is sweet slick malts, raspberry wine cooler notes and really very little else. The taste is pretty tart to start with raspberry and cranberry fruitiness then picking up sugar sweet malts and then becoming a bit on the grainy side to midway. It remains tart and gets dry into the finish. finol (3365) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 18, 2011
Bad Space Monkey, bad, now go take a 2 minute time out in the corner.
Bottle at Akkurat.
Pours redbrown with a small head.
Aroma of rosé wine with some malt in the background.
Rather rosé wine like taste with raspberry candy and raspberry seeds. hirigalzkar (3133) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 18, 2011
Bottle A fun beer to try, not very good though. Tastes and smells a lot like a cheap rosé wine. And something a little spicy... licorice?? MattShizzle (613) - Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 15, 2011
Bottle. Copper color, fairly cloudy and bubbly appearance. Aroma is strongly of raspberry. Very raspberry in flavor - tart and fizzy. Pretty good. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 8 June 2011) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with raspberries, red fruit and caramel. Fruity, malty taste with notes of raspberries, caramel, black-currant, wine-gum and some spicy hints of yeast coming through in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness and fairly low bitterness. A bit like a saison with candy. Quite nice. DiarmaidBHK (4797) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2011
The only thing that hurts this beer is it has a bit of a watery finish. Big raspberry aroma on the nose. Very tart on the tongue with a bit of pepper. Hides its 7% well. dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2011

From a corked and caged 750 into a snifter. OK I’ll admit it, I bought this one just because of the name. I’m a sucker for a monkey and the Simpsons. Pours with a [email protected]
of white head. Plenty o’ carbonation in this one. Just an awesome raspberry aroma on this one. Raspberries, Belgianeyness and a hint of alcohol in the nose. Mouthfeel is crap. Waaaaaaay too much carbonation. Taste is very solid; raspberries, alcohol, cough syrup, wine, lemon. It’s not a fake raspberry taste though. Overall, this is a one to try. I picked it up for around seven bucks and I’m glad I did. I wouldn’t pay much more though, but at this price I’ll buy it again.
Pours a strange pinkish yellow color with a soapy white head. Powerful aroma of raspberry puree with maybe a hint of lemon and pepper. Raspberry extract dominate the flavor with some lemon and pepper to round out the flavor. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2011
The Space Monkey is a decent saison (as the bottle claims), but as our own classification deems, this is definitely more of a fruit beer. The raspberries dominate this beer from start to finish. I don’t get a lot of the grassy, fruity, bready and wild yeast flavors that normally come along with a true saison beer. The nose doesn’t offer a whole lot. It only lends a slight fruitiness and very light bready feel. The finish is a little bready, as well. But other than that, this beer is pretty much all raspberry.
