25cl bottle from Beer Planet. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head which soon vanishes. Very nice sweet/sour aromas of licorice, oak, prunes, figs. Flavours of dried fruit, cherries, raisins, licorice, figs, dates. Nice sweet/sour balance. Dry finish with the aforementioned sweet/sour mix. Very pleasant. gunnfryd (15503) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 10, 2010
Bottle at RBNAG-2009. Brown-orange colour with a beige head. Aroma is oak, sourness, dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, sugar, sourness, yeast, oak, cellar. Complex fun beer. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 4, 2010
Bottle, 150cl corked, at RBNAG -09, courtesy of geokkjer. It pours an unclear, orange-brown body, topped by a beige head. Well carbonated, the cork hit the quite high ceiling when popped. Cellar, sourness and dried fruits well integrated in the aroma. There’s some acidity in the flavor, with dried fruits, some cellar and hints of barnyard. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A really pleasant and easy drinkable beer. 091107 Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 26, 2010
Along with the 1993 Courage RIS, this mid 90’s brew proves why Greg wins. Absolutely beautiful in the glass. Strong and colorful. Taste is a rich mild sweetness. Kinda oxymoronic, but that’s what I wrote. Palate is bold and rich, but clean and clear. A pleasure. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 21, 2010
Little bottle shared by Greg Koch at Woodshop 5.0 He said he brought it back from Belgium in the mid-90s. Porus brown. Nose is tart. Taste is extremely tart, really damn good, well aged.

2009, Vatlandsvåg. Hazy reddish orange with some floaters and a dense beige head. Lovely complex aroma with cellar notes, mould, overripe apples, yeast, caramel and some acid. Flavor is complex as well, fruity acidity, overripe fruit, sweet caramel malt, light grapefruit and cellar notes. Delicious and quite quaffable actually.
Bottle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured, quite stable beige head, visible carbonation; a faint touch of balsamico in the sweetish-sourish and caramelly nose; sweet and sour flavour, light bodied; sweet caramalt and a kind of very old vinegar in the short finish. A bit on the sweet side, but all in all pleasant......... OleR (4801) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 14, 2009

2009, Vatlandsvåg. Low beige head. Orangey brown body. Fresh, light acidic fruit aroma. Mouldy, cellary with yeast notes and touch of apple skin. Taste is acid-sweet and tangy, quite fruity, with a certain sweetness underneath. Lively in the mouth. Filling. A fine, sourish fruit finish. Very good.
Darker brown coloured with a small off-white head. Sour sweet little buttery hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is light sour with a special herby hint. Sigmund (8030) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 14, 2009
Bottle, as Felix Oudenaards Oud Bruin, ABV 6%, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Brown colour, moderate off-white head. Lovely funky aroma, notes of wet basement with fermenting apples. Sour & sweet flavour, funky and fruity.
