Nose of sweat, funk, brown sugars, caramel, malts, hints of wild ish yeast, bread and wood toast.
Flavours malts, tarts, bitters, iron, raisin, toast, light prunes and some bread...
Aftertaste is bitter, malty, brown sugars, raisin, toast...

Bottle. Pours a murky dark brown with a fading light beige bubbly head. Aroma is of caramel, cherry, dark grapes, wood. Taste is of toffee, cherry, red wine flavours, oak, balsamic vinegar, tart finish. Oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

Bref: musty conconction of a pleasing, accessible sweet&sour old brown, old balsamic wood tones over caramel cherry. - Slick, deep toasted caramalts lay a soft drink base layer of fruit and sugars for wine balsamics, damp wood and cellar must to lean on. Not infinitely complex, striking a regional balance between straight up sour, spiced (cinnamon) and old-style catering to a regional sweet tooth.
