Erzengel (8744) - Wuppertal, - MAY 28, 2012
--> sehr interessantes Bier!

Bottle from saverue-biere.com. Pours very dark red. Nose is Joghurt, cherry, stracciatella, rusty acidity. Heavily carbonated. Palate is chocolate cherry icecream. Sour finish. Very enjoyable. A little bit too carbonated and Joghurt-y.

Bottle from Beergium. Smell of dried fruits, but I also get some milk and butter. Tart taste with dried fruit, Milky mouthfeel. Not that clean but drinkable.

25cl bottle (bb?) shared at oldmanriver’s. Bref: musty conconction of a pleasing, accessible sweet&sour old brown, old balsamic wood tones over caramel cherry. - Slick, deep toasted caramalts lay a soft drink base layer of fruit and sugars for wine balsamics, damp wood and cellar must to lean on. Not infinitely complex, striking a regional balance between straight up sour, spiced (cinnamon) and old-style catering to a regional sweet tooth. One of few both rich&malty and tart rood-bruins from East-Flanders, at that one too modest to end up in exporters’ crosshairs.

Frituur Hoekske, Kerkhove. Couleur brune, bonne mousse.

Really dark brown colour. Aroma is woody and sour. Flavour is quite tart but is fresh and fruity.

Lovely gentle brown sour. Rich dried fruits, figs, some overripe fruits, decent maltiness in background, toast. Light sweet with mild tartness, almost no bitterness. Liked
