If your driving this beer is made for you is the only brewed packaged shandy I believe and has 70% real beer however only 0.5% alcholol. The pure lemon juice added makes a nice citrus edge just right for curing your thirst on a hot summers night ...or day (as its low alcohol! -not that that’s a problem for everyone!) Amber, small white head.
Aroma of orange jam, pomerance.
Taste sweet, bread, nice gentle bitterness and finish. Nice texture. Fresh!
Like it a lot, no ordinary beer. EdKing (2663) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2011 One of the best shandys out there. Nose is lemonade, sugar, vanilla and spicy malt beer notes. Taste is sweet sugary lemonade, malty ale and spicy vanilla notes. Fantastic soda drink but not a beer! Varnava (13) - CANADA - DEC 31, 2007
Nice flavor. It was a nice twist on a cola beverage. I enjoyed drinking it. puzzl (3264) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 22, 2009
Found this in the soda section of a beer store, and I will rate it as such. Not really a beer at all, this really is just a soda, whether they call it a traditional ale or not. There is some beery taste in there, a little bit of malt, and a lot of kefir lime leaf and lemon zest. Great, spritzy body, quite sweet but rather enjoyable as a soda. As a beer this would be pretty shit but I ain’t drinkin’ it as a beer, am I?

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Nose is a very specific brand of ginger snap cookies (red striped tin, very thin, arranged in a spiral pattern) Taste is lemon, creme soda, and ginger ale. Not really a beer but I like it. Leighton (22773) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2010
Bottle at Beerwarming Party. Pours a mostly clear gold with a subtle, off-white head. Sugar and candy aroma with some spices and citrus. Very sweet flavor, some lemon and tea-like notes, hints of bread. A little reminiscent of ginger ale. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and a little syrupy. Not bad. Dark golden to near amber color. Moderate off white head. I have absolutely no history with this "style" but found some and thought I would give it a try. I am assuming this is either ginger or lemon, by the aroma I’m not quite sure. Definetly lemon aromas and what seem to be tea.Very easy quaff. Light oil and slightly silky. Lght lemon and sweet malt. Definetly a gulp and quencher. 3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 3, 2011
so it’s shady, it’s supposed to be like cola. sparkling gold body, small white head, dies quickly, as expected. nose and flavor of pear and ginger. mild to medium pepperiness with a light bodied malt/beer/sweet flavor. overall it’s flavorful, light and refreshing as are most fentimans soda. First saw an expired bottle at Liebmans (fling for almost $5, Pass! .. but then while at world market, $2 and not expired... . Pours a deep amber .. pretty much no foam .. . lots of floaties when i purchased the bottle, when poured carefully a few days later it was ok .. . light honey, sweet malt, and sweet lemon .. . is a very refreshing blend, i’d might buy again in a sixer if it was a touch cheaper and it didn’t have all that sediment .. . . .
do i look like a reasonable man or a peppermint nightmare?
