Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Josh! Pours deep black-brown with a frothy beige head. Some chocolatey roast in the snout, juicy citrus fruits, ripe berries. Medium sweet flavor with dusty milk chocolate, understated roast, old chocolate cake, toasted grass, ripe grapefruit, orange. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Burnt sugars on the finish, very slight resins, mild roast, more milk chocolate. Pretty nice.

Black in colour with a dark cream, almost brown head. Very piney/resinous on the nose but taste is incredible! Smokey and creamy but also nice and hoppy!

Pitch black poor with a superb tan head. Big aroma of fruit and pine. Taste is bitter and smooth with a nice amount of sweetness to keep the dark malts from being to bitter and astringent. Well brewed black ipa maybe even the best I’ve had so far. Will be ordering again!

Pours pitch black with a tan head. Nose is pretty fruity, some pineapple and orange. There’s also a little coffee and charcoal. Flavor is burnt toast, vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, orange, pine. Medium bodied, with a lingering mouth feel. Pretty complex, very tasty.

From a bottle. Pours a very dark brown, strong oak aroma with hints of roasted malt, smooth and rich. Give it a go.

Dark colour with white head. Aroma is oak and hops. A lot going on with this beer. Initial notes of vanilla and blackcurrant, oak, dark malts and then the hops. Great beer!

Bottle, 11C. Dark brown with a light tan head. Smells very like Karma Citra - bitter oranges, lychees, mocha. But the toasty vanilla notes are immediately apparent upon a sip, along with some slightly zingy spice notes at the end. The cocoa and slight nuttiness of the normal version are there too. Pretty good and the treatment adds things rather than interferes or overwhelms, but I still would take the normal version over this. But impressive and thoroughly enjoyable.
