330mL bottle from Warners at the Bay
It should be noted that this was past its Best Before date, but at $2 a bottle!!! how could I go past it!?
Cloudy white straw body, creamy white head.
Aroma reminiscent almost of a Tripel - lots of white sugar, pale caramels, sweet cereal, white pepper, citrus peel & earthy spice.
Full bodied, somewhat syrupy/thick suggesting weight, carbonation slightly creamy.
Body is reasonably sweet upfront - pale caramel & sweet cereals, spices (probably?) subdued but in good balance - pepper, clove, sweet coriander seed, orange peel, ripe apricot-like esters. Drying finish, slight oxidised note is not unappealing.
Actually pretty good - probably more enjoyable than most Witbiers! motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 8, 2015
bottle from express liquor in newcastle. quite a pale shade of golden, almost clear; more like a hefeweizen than a witbier - some muted vanilla in the aroma, hints of gluggy banana; faint lemon zest, not much sign of spice and lags towards a lager-like finish. that said, not unpleasant, with decent ingredients; strangely how i would imagine a leicht weizenbock fletchfighters (1623) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2015
330 ml bottle
Clear orange yellow. Bright white head, mostly a thick collar. No lacing but some carbonation bubbles.
Nose is over ripe pineapple, orange, orange peel, and banana. Bread notes are more tame than previous reviews have said. Did let this sit a bit.
Taste however is full of pineapple bread. A bit too sweet. Lots of pineapple lollipop. Obliterates what orange notes there are. Some black pepper.
Medium bodied with coying sweetness and spice. Finishes with some hard notes of the AVB.
Not a style I am fond of but this is workable. Needs a bit more balance but workable Davros (3362) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 5, 2015
Pours gold with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows ginger, doughy wheat, orange zest.
Very zesty flavours, lots of citrus. Some wheat. A little too sweet. mkel07 (6574) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 10, 2015
Bottle from Malt Traders 090415. This is a witbier on steroids, everything is amplified from the orange to the coriander and pepper. A bit of heat in the finish that leaves a slight burn in the throat from the white pepper I would expect. I had little expectation from this beer as at times Feral’s beers can be a bit overrated but not in this case. Bright orange with a soft loose head of clean white foam that crackles and pops like popping candy. This would have to be one of my favourite Feral beers.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. I am not a fan of wheat beers. Never have been and never will be. But Feral seem to have nailed this one on the head. Very, very spice driven with heavy banana and musk focus. Comes together superbly and hides the abv. Very good Sevenlee (1846) - Central Coast, NSW, AUSTRALIA - APR 6, 2015
Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is malt, lots of yeast, spices, pepper, clove and citrus. Taste is medium sweet leading to a big yeasty finish. Might have overdone the yeast, I think. hawthorne00 (4238) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2015
Bottle. Cloudy gold with a white head that fades rapidly. Aroma is grainy with lots of white pepper, mandarin, coriander. Not all that inviting. Taste is better - there’s a pleasing mandarin sweetness with some slightly tangy wheat behind it, some honey. Spices are not all that prominent, but more vibrant that suggested by the aroma. Not quite so strong that it’s not refreshing, so it still functions as a Wit. Let down a bit by the aroma, but not bad. Rosslew (320) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2015
Can't miss this as a wheat. Yeasty edge in aroma gives this away. But it doesn't have the strong vanilla/banana feature. This is more spicy, appealingly so. Orange peel. Super version. 330ml, 7.0%, 1.8std drks.
