Perfectly balanced. Huge nose and aptly named, this is all about the hops. Do I smell Christmas? or at least pine trees and citrus. Crisp clean white foam over a golden orange body. Crisp clean and so full of flavour. Super refreshing. Can still taste a lingering finish for quite some time after each sip. One of the best IPA Ive had and certainly the best IPA by an Australian brewery. Wrap your laughing gear around one of these and you wont be disappointed. Definitely going on the Christmas beer menu (remembering Australia is hot that time of year).

Bottle thanks to Aaron! Pours clear pale amber, small off white head, decent lacing.. Aroma is indeed pine, grapefruit. Flavor is light sweet and medium bitter. Medium body. Pretty standard IPA fare, but solid for sure.

On tap at Keg & Brew, Sydney on 15th September 2015. Hazy amber with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Intense tangerine citrus aroma. Sweet berry fruits and tangerine citrus in-mouth. Citric hops turn grassy in the finish. A zingy mouthfeel and medium body.

This is probably the first rip your face off with the amount of hops they use IPAs I have tried. It is really strong on the aroma & bittering hops. This one I get my friends to try when they have only had generic beer all their life. Whether they like it or not, at least its an interesting experience for them!

Bottle (12 months old): hazy, copper with a light head and some lace. Loads of citrus. Its also a little funky. Lacking the huge hops. Cant work out the palate. Might be falling apart with age but it looks a little sour and has a dextrose flavor. Now where near as good as a fresh sample. Will taste it on the return to Australia.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2015 L: pours an attractive pale gold with a small white head and lacing. S: smells terrific, big pine and citrus hop notes. T: has a nice malt content, that gives way to a wash of piney hop, some fruit coming through, a balanced and not aggressive. F: super easy to drink, a nice amount of carbonation, lingering hops. O: always good, definitely the best readily available Oz beer.

Carton at kangaroo valley. Deep amber, frothy lingering head, pine citrus aroma. Good by the camp fire.
