3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy light golden colour.
Aroma. can smell some nice passionfruit flavours.
Taste. can mainly taste Pine, Mango and Passionfruits.
Overall. a nice beer, but i feel as though the pine flavours mask the other fruity flavours too much for my liking, but none the less still better then most beers out there.
330ml bottle. Pours orange brown. Pine, dank, grapefruit, caramel, orange. Good full body. Nice bitterness. Tasty. phenom5 (18) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 23, 2017
This pours a hazy gold, with a thin head. But oh that aroma!! Citrusy pine and pineapple & passionfruit bonanza! Lots of taste in the mouth, but not a great mouthfeel. Nice crisp finish to boot.... muldereric (4) - - AUG 10, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2017 Nice smooth well balanced IPA. personally I would've loved if it had a little more bitter in the aftertaste RoJo28 (72) - - AUG 5, 2017
If IPAs are the cool kids, when a new one comes to your school named hop hog you assume it's going to be bitter as all hell, and, well, you're going to get bullied. But then 'the hog' turns out to be a nice guy; less jock, more Ferris Bueller. Damn, I feel conflicted.

the small hog logo is pretty cute but the biggest hoggy is very big and good

Full of flavour with a strong hoppy note and bitter finish. All round great beer

Great clarity for an American IPA with good head retention, strong aroma with an interesting mix of spruce and citrus. Reasonably high IBU score underlies the bitterness, but it still does not overpower the spruce and citrus flavours. I enjoy buying this in a growler from my neighbourhood specialty beer shop. northropfrye (3662) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 16, 2017
Murky orange Amber body white head and lacing. Pine and resin aroma. Taste is semi-bitter, resin, some malts. Nice beer. rchung (7) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 11, 2017 does not count
Packs a Hoppy punch to the limit of palatable. Layered palate with caramel finish. Good effort on bringing IPAs to the Australian market. slavb (15) - - JUL 10, 2017
The most balanced IPA I have ever tried. Very fruity, not too bitter. Nice aroma. The best.
