Hazy amber with a small white head. Some sticky lacing. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruits. Taste adds pine, caramel and a strong bitterness. Enjoyable IPA, very classic American style without any hypes.

330ml bottle at Pier Marina Mirage, Surfers Paradise. Light amber with good head. Very citrus aroma - lemon, grapefruit plus grassy note. Mild bitterness with slight malt palate, and a dry hoppy finish. Nice one.

A decent IPA with sweet fruit straw aroma. Floral, pine, citris flavour and light bitter balance. Light palate and slight malt. Medium body. Well rounded, quiet refined at times.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Maxs place. Thanks Stas. Hazy golden. Aroma of citric hops, slightly stale. Flavor is a bit sweetish with malt, and bitter citric hops, a bit stale. Medium-bodied. Decent, could be fresher.

Copper pour with huge off white head. Nice nose of pine and citrus. Flavor is a bit chalky and muddled with malt, but nice punch of citrus.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2016 A great beer. Has all the elements of a great (light) IPA. Reminds me of some strong Californian Pale Ales. Citrus and pine. Moderate bitterness. Very drinkable.

(330ml bottle from BWS Surfers Paradise) Pours clear pale copper with an average white head and no lace. Aroma is pine-forward hops up front with citrus and peach in support, a decently solid malt backbone with light caramel and biscuits. Pretty fresh pine needle and grapefruit peel hop flavours, some floral qualities and a moderately strong malt base with a bit of biscuit and moderate caramel sweetness. Finish is dry with moderate pine resin bitterness. Medium bodied and slightly sticky with average carbonation. Nothing revelatory maybe, but quite a very solid IPA compared to the typical selection at a BWS store.

Ivanhoe Manly. This is decent, nothing more. Basically a replica of the sort of US IPA folk got excited about 15-20 years ago. Hazy amber colour, decent off white head. Hoppy, citrusy aroma. Medium body, with again, a lot of citrus (little bit tropical fruit, some lemon). Quite hoppy as expected and the finish is hops dominated and reasonably dry. Some bitterness, not much maltiness. Pleasant and drinkable and a good go to when faced with Hahn Superdry, but ultimately not a lot going on.
