Label has a nice, notably rough feel. Golden color, clear. Lasting, frothy white head. Nose reveals notes of malt and sweet tropical fruits. Aroma is similar - a mix of tropical fruits, some malt, light caramel and grain notes. Taste is medium sweet at first, turning into a light, pleasant bitterness towards the finish. Medium to full body, crisp texture, average carbonation. Well balanced IPA, however lacking characteristics that make it stand out. samsomuk (414) - Bridgwater, Somerset, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2017

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2017 330 ml bottle. Appearance is a slightly cloudy pale golden shade, topped with generous but transient white froth. Aroma is fruity, grapefruit, pineapple and other citrus and tropical fruits, along with some florals and pine. Taste is floral and pine bitterness first, with light fruity sweetness, but mainly bitter in the finish. Carbonation is nicely done, giving it a crisp and clean mouthfeel. Sweet, candied citrus fruits, orange, marmalade, orange peel, sweet grain malts, caramel, pine, light tropical fruits, mango. Clear gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More bitter citrus fruits, orange peel, marmalade, sweet tangerine, candied tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, pine, more sweet grain malts in the background, caramel, medium carbonation, medium bodied. Decent. Bottle from Purvis Cellars, Melbourne. PabloZab (1749) - Wroclaw, POLAND - OCT 25, 2017
Bottle 330ml. Hazy amber colour. Thin ecru colour head. Good lacing. Aroma is malty, delicate sweet with a lot of hops with tropical fruits notes. First sip and I feel medium malty body, delicate sweet, smooth with toast character. But after few sips this malty sweetnes in good balanced by medium, citrus-herbal bitterness. Beer is quite light, refreshing, I can say average IPA but I expected more power of hops and the beer has rather malty than hoppy character.

This pours a hazy gold, with a thin head. But oh that aroma!! Citrusy pine and pineapple & passionfruit bonanza! Lots of taste in the mouth, but not a great mouthfeel. Nice crisp finish to boot.... muldereric (4) - - AUG 10, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2017 Nice smooth well balanced IPA. personally I would've loved if it had a little more bitter in the aftertaste RoJo28 (115) - - AUG 5, 2017
If IPAs are the cool kids, when a new one comes to your school named hop hog you assume it's going to be bitter as all hell, and, well, you're going to get bullied. But then 'the hog' turns out to be a nice guy; less jock, more Ferris Bueller. Damn, I feel conflicted.

the small hog logo is pretty cute but the biggest hoggy is very big and good
