UPDATED: FEB 21, 2017 Tap at Strange Company. Huge tropical punchbowl with massive pine needles and resinous notes. Monstrous bitterness with a mild floral perfume to it. A big beer that isn’t at all shy. Very good. Not many beers coming out of Aus with this quality mkel07 (6603) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 17, 2014
On tap at Brewski 171014 Tusk Day. This is a big beer in every sense of the word. Big flavour, big pine resin flavour and fresh as. A beer not to be messed with. stoutnick (843) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 16, 2014
Unfiltered peach juice - wow! Aroma is mild fruitiness. Taste is peach mango nice bitterness big juicy quality. Not overly bitter. Very tasty like golden circle tropical punch. Great but only complaint is I wish it was a little bit more bitey. Feral_Hop_Hog (32) - - MAR 28, 2014

Nice looking. Aroma is tropical fruit punch. Pretty impressive. Taste is the same with a balanced bitterness at the end. Great DIPA - the best yet to come from Australia.
Packs a punch. Complex fruity flavors. reminiscent of some of the stronger Dogfish IPAs. A little heavy and boozy for me. Much prefer the HH and Sly Fox personally.

The most amazing balanced DIPA I have ever had the chance to taste, Bursting with a massive hop aroma, silky smooth mouth feel and a nice alcohol heat. Impressively balanced for 9.8%

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2015 11.8% abv kills this beer - damn, they couldn’t stop tinkering could they? And now it’s spoiled - so much better when t was 8.5% - the aroma is still fantastic and the initial apricot taste... but then it quickly becomes hot and astringent due to the alcohol. Damn. Was so looking forward to this too. Just go back to the 8% guys, and get rid of War Hog altogether IMHO. hawthorne00 (4272) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 2, 2013

Who’s on the phone? Aroma of passionfruit and other tropical fruits, pine, nectarine, orange blossoms. Bartender says feijoa: yep.
Love me? Oily. Big stone fruit sweetness brushed away by strong resinous bitterness. Peaches, tropical fruit, pepper, pine. Only a little boozy, pretty dangerously quaffable. Tight, punchy palate. Finish is dry: the sweetness is there early, but the gate slams shut on it leaving zingy aromatics and just a slight touch of booze.
Want me? Pretty stunning stuff.
Tap. Again a couple of hours after it was tapped, this time by coincidence. There have been a number of other good Australian IIPAs recently (I might have to stop denying that I like them) but this still stands out for me. Mind you, most of them have been in bottles. A big aromatic hop punch. It’s sweet but not cloying and the "dry even more than bitter" finish is very good. If there weren’t a little touch of booze assisting with the dryness of the finish it’d be even more impressive.
Pours a clear golden orange with short 3cm of creamy head. Citric and piney hops with a soft biscuit sweetness. Nice bitter hop flavour with citrus fruits. Nice thick body (for an IPA) and a big 84 IBU bitterness. Solid DIPA.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2013 On tap at five bar. Pours cloudy golden with a nice thick head retention! Aromas of passion fruit, mango, peach and vanilla. Taste has a thin mouthfeel. A tropical fruit bowl best describes the flavour. Hop hog on steroids. Pine bitterness smashes you at the back end. Just can’t put my glass down. This is a serious beer please make more feral!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
