Tap at the Royston Hotel, Melbourne. Poured a hazy straw colour with no head and a few bubbles. The aroma is crisp watermelon, cucumber. The flavour is acid citrus sour with a crisp, slightly tart, watery fresh fruit, light grainy palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. Light but refreshing. Easy drinking and great on a hot day.

Squealer in Denver with Aussie pals. Hazy yellow appearance with a pearl white head. This is straight up sour watermelon. It’s not overly complex but damn, it is refreshing and tasty. Moderately tart. Wish it was a little higher boost.

Squealer poured a hazy pale yellow with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, watermelon and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of straw, watermelon and light citrus with a crisp dry tart lingering watermelon finish.

Keg - Beer DeLuxe, Sydney. A hazy yellow with a fine and fading white head atop. Sour lemon and lime characters with yeast and a pithy bitterness. Quite a squinty sourness on the palate. Long to finish, light in body with medium carbonation.

Draught at archive Beer Boutique, West End, Brisbane. Poured a clouded dirty straw colour (looks like a ginger beer) with no head. Carbonation moderate to high and fine. Aroma very subtly of sour citrus and fermented watermelon. Taste of sour citrus and a hint of watermelon sweetness; a bit tart but flavoursome for a low alcohol beer. Quite light body. Smooth, slightly creamy, refreshing and with a fizzy mouthfeel and with a lingering slightly sour citrus finish. OK.

Pale golden yellow with no head to speak of. Slight citrus nose, nothing strong - additional straw and acidic aromas. Very light and refreshing. Watermelon is definitely present, slight citrus flavours and a wheaty/straw backbone. Light and clean to drink, a great refreshing beer.

Vom Fass. Ganz helles Zitronengelb, dünner Schaum. Sehr saurer Duft mit einem Hauch Melone. Fast schon essigsauer! Frischer saurer Geschmack. Die Wassermelone kommt unreif aromatisch dazu. Spannende Berliner Weisse!

On tap at Local Taphouse. Distant citric nose. Hazy amber beer with no head. Classic Berliner Weisse with sour watermelon, almost creamy in the mouth. Nice but not outstanding.

On Tap at Welcome Hotel Cloudy straw yellow. Minimal head. Good strips of lacing through drinking. Nose is tart, kind of funky lemons and slight hints of watermelon. Very acidic nose. Taste is tart, lots of citrus, not a lot of watermelon but there is some. Crisp, clean and perky acid. Slightly sour but a fun beer and easy to drink and have multiples of. Easily best BW in OZ
