Cask conditioned at The Wellington, Birmingham. Black with cream head. There is an initial vanilla like sweetness, ice cream notes with a background milk chocolate flavour. Reasonably thick and velvety. Good stuff.

A good looking drink with a lovely creamy head. Aroma is cinder toffee and dark treacle. The rum comes through immediately on first taste which is warming and definitely an after pudding drink. Heartily recommend for those looking for something a little bit different.

Gravity cask at Dudley beer festival. Pours black with a thin head. Aroma is plastic and rum. Taste has sweet coffee and rum to start with rum and plastic on the finish.

Gravity at Steel City Beer Festival 2013, Sheffield - Absolute cracker, and one of my highlights. Deep mahogany body, thin white head, big nose of vanilla and coffee. A warming booze feel throughout the drink, taste of rum at the back of the throat, and a good bitter ending. Well done Fernandes!!!!

Cask at the Oxenhope Beer Festival. Mahogany with no head. Smells and tastes strongly of rum. Feels very alcoholic - a lot more than its 6.5%. Some liquorish and cola coming through, but mostly just dominated by the rum. Not one for me.

Cask Handpump at the Fernandes Brewery Tap, Wakefield 22/12/2007 Fruit aroma. Beige head. Dark red coloured fruity and slightly rich on the palate with a rum flavour. Crisp creamy and bitter lasting coffee roast finish.

Cask, Dispensary, Liverpool. Very dark mahogany tinged brown colour wiith a lingering, creamy, muddyish tan head. Sweet caramel malt very prominent in the aroma; demerara sugar and dark rum were there also, as in the flavour. Very warming and smooth. Am a lover of dark rum, which is my favourite spirit, so this had obvious appeal. Had never tasted a rum flavoured beer before, and thought this worked really well.
