Our deliciously dark & robust Porter, with a delicate but flavorful touch of maple syrup, it’s a popular product with consumers, beer bloggers and judges. Popular with the educated craft beer drinker, who’s looking for a uniquely rich & flavorful product. Made with 7 Malts including Chocolate, Black, Caramel & Crystal. dreamflower (790) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 26, 2014
I think this, but I’d like more intensity in the flavour and aroma. Sweet, roasty and rich, but not a lot of maple. Bottle shared with northropfrye.

northropfrye (3593) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - DEC 26, 2014
Dark black body, brown head, nice lacing, quite attractive. Good head retention. Initially a sweet robust aroma, touch of maple, chocolate milk. Taste is like a sweet foreign stout, dried fruit, not overly mapley. Under-rated.

YigSvartka (304) - Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 27, 2014
Opaque light black with a nice sized head. Relatively minimal aroma dominated by roast, but vanilla and maple notes are present as well. Thick and creamy stereotypical porter texture. Perhaps slightly less smooth though. Flavour consists of heavy roast, vanilla, slight maple, and oddly a wee bit sour. The flavours are fine, but it simply doesn’t flow very well. The sweet/sour flavours are odd. Not terrible though.

piscator34 (2529) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 14, 2014
Bottle. Near black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of chocolate milk powder and a hint of wood. Flavors are of chocolate syrup, maple, toasted nuts, and vanilla. Medium bodied and fairly sweet, but finishes with a bit of woody astringency. Not bad as an after dinner pint.

RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 27, 2014
Brown pour with tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with maple and coffee. Medium bodied, not as thin as I expected. Flavour brings out coffee, toast, maple sweetness. Sweet, but not overly. Not too bad.

haukur (1957) - Reykjavik, ICELAND - AUG 16, 2014
brown with a white head. Overwhelming malty sweet aroma. Palate is all sweetness, some malts. Maybe I let this one sit for just a tad long. Drainpour. Thanks though to Duffman

GothGargoyle (2587) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 22, 2014
Dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is maple, caramel, chocolate, hazelnut. Medium-light bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel, sweet on the palate with a nice hint of roast. Taste us chocolate, toffee, maple, roasted grains, hint if coffee. Decent.

Masterkush7 (580) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 7, 2014
Plenty of cocoa on the nose with dark chocolate and a touch of roast. Opaque dark brown/black body is topped by a low but lasting tan head that coats the sides of the glass with lacing. Chocolate/cocoa flavour is predominant but never overwhelming. Nice bitterness keeps it from becoming cloying or overly sweet. There’s an almost salty edge to the mineralic aftertaste which is quite interesting. Although I don’t get any maple flavour perhaps that contributes to the depth of flavour here. Medium body with very nice, soft bubbled but gently effervescent and lightly pointy carbonation that offsets the otherwise smooth and creamy texture.

Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bottle from Dan and Julie. Dark red pour with an off-white head. Aroma is lots of caramel and maple. Taste is maple syrup and hops!

Bahumat (159) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 10, 2013
The only real weakness of this beer is the aroma, but it tastes much better than it smells. For those who enjoy maple flavored stouts and porters, this will definitely satisfy. The maple flavor is anything but delicate, but it still keeps a good balance.
