Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a dark bready orange color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Lacing is there, somewhat stringy.
The aroma had some bready malts playing with a huge citrusy/grapefruity bittersweetness. Slight spiciness, somewhat like coriander.
The flavor starts off with the citrusy/grapefruity hoppiness. Bready malts come in and then the spiciness, somewhat seeming for blending purposes. Sly grassiness and then the bready to spicy and citrusy aftertaste rolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation and ABV felt right as well.
Overall, good Belgian pale ale that I could come back to. DakotaSkye44 (3) - Vermont, USA - NOV 10, 2012 does not count
Good drinking beer. Starting to become more easily accessible at local pubs and restaurants, and is definitely one of the better options at a lot of local restaurants. Aroma is quite nice, and flavor is quite citrusy. Definitely worth a taste.
