Aroma is malty with lightly herbal hops. Flavor is grassy, herbal hops with a malt background. An English bitterness kicks in about midway and carries through to the finish. Sometimes it tastes complex and interesting, and sometimes it tastes a little dirty. Body is a little thin. Not a bad amber, but not excellent either. Drinkable, and even sessionable, but not memorable. $6.49 for a six pack at Total Wine. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAY 2, 2007
(Bottle) Pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma of bread dough and wet grass. Flavor of malt and nuts...not much else. Very little flavor... nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 25, 2007
The aroma is nothing special or spectacular but certainly appealing. It’s malty with caramel, herbal hops, and bread yeast. In fact the aroma is a little doughy. The appearance is amber with a medium sized head that falls fast. The flavor is like the aroma with a mild grassy, herbal bitterness. The palate is OK for the style but not remarkable. The aftertaste is somewhat like an English bitter style. The only thing I come away with from this beer is that the malt and hop flavors seem to come in waves and are never integrated. This is one of the those beers that is certainly drinkable but falls short of greatness. matta (1140) - Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2007
Copper hued body with a wispy head… Aroma is grainy, with hints of lemon and a pushy off balanced yeast. The flavor is more of the same, weak earthy hops, a bready malt bill and a dirty, muddy yeast. Watery palate… a rather poor attempt. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - APR 15, 2007
Pours hazy orange with a tall white head. This was actually a really nice amber. Good balance between the malts and citrus hops. Toasty and slightly bready malt flavor blends with caramel to accent the hop profile well.
