tricksta_p (5708) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2017From tap at Toronado, San Francisco. Aroma is cocoa with lots of creamy milk chocolate and dark-ish chocolate malt, as well as lactose. Medium sweet and light bitter flavour. Medium bodied with a little creaminess. A bit onesided, but nice.
katrinaez (2527) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2017On nitro, pours dark brown with lots of foam, aroma of chocolate milk, high lactose, with a taste to match. Like drinking a Hershey bar, very smooth (appropriate for a nitro), delicious, tap at brewery.

kaser (6480) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 3, 2016Very chocolate milky. Nutty too. Tons of flavor. Maybe Carmel. Amber with a ton of creamy head. Draft pour at Beer Thirty in Santa Cruz.
PhillyCraft (8538) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 3, 2016On tap at Fieldwork with Maryanna and Josh. Pours town with medium creamy off white head. Smell is Hersheys syrup on the bottom of a glass of milk. Flavor is hazelnut coffee, milk chocolate, lactose, and other sweet vanilla tones. A little too nutty and hazelnut forward to be considered chocolate milk. Still decent tho
Theydon_Bois (22336) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 18, 2016Keg at the brewery tap room, 29/01/16.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a decent tan covering.
Nose is chocolate malt, light roast, nutty tones, toffee fudge.
Taste comprises sweet chocolate, biscuit, airy malt, caramel wafer.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough for style if a touch overly sweet.
Zymurgeist2 (2508) - Redwood City, California, USA - FEB 18, 2016Part of an event at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City in November 2015. Score recorded at the time, but not detailed notes. Clear and no head were the tasting notes - which is odd for a nitro and a brown ale. Loads of chocolate and slight milky background combined well.
phaleslu (11170) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2016Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear deep tea amber color with a small beige head that settles into a ring and film. Notes of cocoa and cream, giving a good sweet and milky character, with sugar, caramel, and a bit of toast. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, sweet mouthfeel. Delivers what I expected. Good sweet brown ale.
